you should go to your doc and have your blood drawn to check your ferritin level when this number is to low it cause hair loss and you made need to take an iron supplement... Are you Anemic?

Hi out there. I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I?ve been searching the web for info about women's hair lost and found this board. I?ve never thought about joining a board before, but after reading through some posts, I?m happy I did. I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support you offer here.

Taking hair vitimins and using a little olive
oil to massage into the scalp seems to have
stopped the hair loss.

Hi All, I'm new to this forum. I have been having alot of hair loss now for several months. I have pcos, but I think my hair loss is due to medicines that i am taking for anxiety and panic attacks. I take celexa, and clonazaepam, and seroquel. I think it may be the celexa, but my docs won't let me get off the meds. Does any one have any suggestions on how to stop the los, or regrow hair, while on meds? My hair is really short now, it has always been fine and thing, but now it's really!!!!!!!!!!fine and thin!!!!!!! any help or just a reply would be appreciated. thanks.

I have discovered this forum after searching the internet for hairloss alternatives. I am so thankful to know there are others like me who are struggling. Prior to this, I have struggled alone.

Four years ago my hairloss began again, this time severely, coinciding with a divorce and going on Wellbutrin. My hair has always been fine but I go through periods where it is plentiful and then it thins out. I seem to have struggled with some sort of hairloss since I was a teen. Looking back, it started with headache meds (Fiorinal) and antihistamines. Then, I noticed it in college, my freshman year, and then it thickened up again. I did not take meds but was very stressed. I noticed it again in my mid 20's; I had taken accutane for 3 months and I noticed it was very thin at one point. Then, in my 30's after 2 years of propanolol, I took zoloft (briefly) in my 30's and had a huge shed and stopped. And now, I only just made the Wellbutrin connection which I stopped 4 days ago with the help of my doctor. So far, no real problems with side effects.

In the last 4 years I went on Yasmin and Oral Spiro (150 mgs) after reading a book about hormonal imbalance. I had taken many tests on my thryroid, and seen various dermatologists who found nothing. It did work and the shedding did stop. But not completely and I noticed recently that my hair is very thin in the back which prompted me to go on the internet to see why this is happening.

I tried minoxydal but it made my heart race, and made my body itch. I starting taking hair growth vitamins and bought a few special shampoos and also bought Nicorel which did stop the shedding. I also have a laser comb which does make it look full.

So, I really hope it is the Wellbutrin. I just can't believe I never made the connection. Will it grow back after 4 years?

my hair has been falling out on and of since i was in fourth grade. my mom kept telling me we were going to have to live in a cardboard box because my stepdad wouldn't get a job. i realize now she was just trying make him feel bad and go get a job but at 8 years old i took it seriously and started stressing out that we were really going to have to sleep in a cardboard box, so my hair started falling. i got two huge balds
spots on in front on my left side and on in back on the right side of my head we went to the dermatologist and he said it was alopecia aerate. the only treatment that could help would be steroid injections in my head and it would hurt and may or may not help hair grow so i decided that i didn't want to do it and it got better then fell out again in little patches all over my head i even thought about shaving it off at one point cause it was so bad then it just grew back then again in 10th grade i had a few patches gone and it grew back i am almost 30 now and my hair has fallen out through out my whole adult life in small patches and then it grows back well now its so bad i can hardly hide it and vie been using the nuva ring for almost a year now before then i was on loestrin birth control pill and a month ago i started taking lamisil for nail fungus and i am hoping that thats not going to make it worse

i am going to the dermatologist on the 7 of june to see what treatments there are now and get the steroid injections if i have to its just not growing back on its own this time and im almost completely bald

about a month ago i had some blood work done to see if i might have an autoimmune decease and my blood work came back perfect

Any insight to my problem would be fantastic cause I willing to almost anything to get it to stop Ive got all sorts of vitamins and shampoos system nothing seams to be helping and just started to get a new spot right in front were my part happens to be
