Wisdom teeth = what kind of pain?
I need to have my wisdom teeth taken out, but I'm trying to hold on until December because I only have a part-time job until I graduate then...so I have no insurance yet.
The only thing I'm wondering about is the pain caused by wisdom teeth coming in...I've never had a problem until recently, and I have pain all throughout my jaw line, almost like the pain you experience when you have sore muscles. If I massage my jaw, it feels AMAZING and the pain kind of subsides for a bit. The pain isn't constant, but it does come and go quite a bit.
I usually hear about the pain of the teeth growing in, like pain inside the mouth or whatever...but is this pain in the jaw common, or should I ask the dentist about it when I see him next month (he knows I have future plans to have them taken out, and performed x-rays on them a few months back).
Just want to find out if this is typical of wisdom teeth when it's time to have them pulled...

Yes this is typical, but it is always a good idea to see a dentist to make sure. Sometimes the pain is caused by infection around the wisdom tooth putting pressure on the nerve. A doctor can give you a script for antibiotics that will work like a charm
Good luck and when you do get them pulled, do everything the oral surgeon says for post surgical care! I had dry sockets in 2 out of the 4 and that hurts like .

yes thats sounds like wisdom teeth. if your teeth are just starting to push, thats one thing, but if they have already pushed out of the gums, make sure to keep that area clean or you can get a really bad infection. I got one once and it was probably the worst pain I ever had.

I feel for you. It does sound like your wisdom teeth are taking it out on you. Just making sure you try not to chew too much towards the back when they start to come in. It really hurts and that pain takes a while to go away.

I had the same thing with my wisdom teeth, i tried to wait it out but it just got worse because the teeth were trying to come in and there was no room for them in my mouth...i would go see the dentist and see what he says about them...
