I am a 24yo mother of 3 children (and it shows) with a full-time job. When I was in high school, I was extremely active and out-going. Now I barely have the time or energy to think straight. I really want to get back in shape physically like I was. So I started walking on a treadmill early in the morning before the kids get up and I have been trying to watch what and how much I eat. I guess my question is... Can anyone give me any exercise suggestions that I can do either with the kids or before they get up (which would rule out anything that involves leaving the house)?

How about investing in a trampoline if you have the space.
Fun for the kids and you + burns those calories.

Wow I never even thought of a trampoline...but the treadmill is a great start. What about taking walks with your kids or bike riding?
I wouldn't have survived pregnancy without chocolate candy!

Try to drink water or coffee before you treadmill, Make sure not to eat before you get on the treadmill tho. cut out the colas or anything that has high corn fructose (Bad). if you have a pool swimming laps would be great way to help. i'm sure you heard all these before. i almost forgot when you use the treadmill try to stay on for 45min, and speed walk it. also try changing your eating habits. try eating 4-6 times a day but smaller amounts it will keep your metabolism going throughout the day, and you shouldn't get hungry. well i hope this helps
