I have to admit that you and I share the same problem. I have had a little bleeding here and there along with back pain. I'm 45 years old and all of this is so new to me.
. I'm sorry to hear that your going threw this. but at the same time I'm glad I'm not the only one. The back pain only happens with the slight bleeding. ...I haven't had a normal period in mo's! Plus I'm starting to deal with the sweating etc........

I hate that you ladies are suffering..but Man! I came to the right place..I am going crazy..
48 y/o....I have had messed up cycles for the last , maybe 4 yrs....last 2 years it has been 5-10 days early every month..sometimes 2x a month..etc etc. And talk about anxiety! 4 years ago I had night sweats really soaking but those stopped...
***Today I count 3 weeks of non- stop bleeding..this has never happened before..It started with pain so bad I was crawling to the bathroom one morning.could not stand up to get out of bed..got my period a day later..thought it was ending..then my breasts hurt horrible for 2 weeks and I never stopped bleeding since....I was wondering if this is just menopause starting or what..I have had some large cysts but I think they are gone..reading what you ladies post, I guess this is normal and I have to put up with it..but Lord I wish this would stop!
I am going to look up this ''premenopause menstrual dysfunction" cause, man. I think I've got it

Hi Ladies,
Well, I'll be 45 in about 3 weeks. I've noticed the difference in my period for about 2 years. You know, heavier flow, more cramping, bloated and not as regular as previously. My doctor told me it was perimenopause, I laughed and asked him what that was. He said, "you're body is preparing for menopause". I guess my body is finished preparing...lol...minimal hot flashes, memory vagueness (refuse to call it forgetfullness) and today I am entering my 4th week of bleeding, back pain, leg pain and cramping. Somedays it's light spotting somedays it's a 2 tampon every hour day. Oh ya, tender breasts too....aaaahhhhh! My mom had a partial hysterectomy in her mid 50s and a masectomy in her late 50's so my doc is hyper vigilant about my health, which I am thankful for. So I guess it's off to the doc to confirm it's menopause.
Anyway, I wanted to say thankyou to you all for sharing your experiences, it's helpful to know others are experiencing the same type symptoms.

Hello everyone..........
Ok. So you have these symptoms called "menopause." Did you know that there is a solution for you through the world of science. In many indian cultures, they have no definition of menopause because in their culture, The word "menopause" dosen't exist! There is this new science derived from the Aloe Vera plant and it's been making alot of noise in the wellness community. It's only word of mouth that you'll hear about it so I'm here telling you NOW.

OMG my back is killing me!
I just did a Google search for low back pain and premenopause and found this site. I'll be 45 in 2 weeks and have NEVER had low back pain - but it started 4 days ago (with my very irregular period) and now I am uncomfortable standing, sitting, walking, lying down etc.... My other problem is that I get VERY depressed just before my period - which I never used to do. Last summer I went 8 weeks with no period - I was actually beginning to think I was pregnant - but that's impossible as my husband was "fixed"! Just the thought of that was enough to depress me (I already have 2 great kids). Anyway, nice to find a spot to where I can see I'm not suffering alone! Men have no idea what we go through!

Add me to the line up here.
I'm 48, (oh my, did I really say that out loud??) I have night sweats and hot flashes, my cycle hasn't been regular since August 18 for 6 days, then Oct 31 for 6 days, still waiting for the next.
I feel like I'm going to start, but so far, nothing. I've had a bad lower back ache for the past few days now. I'm starting to break out, so maybe the time is nearing for me...we'll see.
Went to the doc for a check up, everything appears normal, although my cholestrol is high. Low fat diet and excerise is recommended.
Nice to know there are others suffering along side

lower back pain
Eons ago when I had an IUD I had horrific lower back pain and in my hips and knees with every period. About 4 years ago I started having what I termed perpetual periods. The Dr. said I was "leaking estrogen", but I also had constant and miserable lower back pain - of course I never thought they were related. Now that I'm in menopause I have tried the Estring gadget vaginally, which is only estrogen. Within 3 days of insertion - the lower back pain is GONE. Studies are showing increased estrogen levels and increased lower back pain. Nothing addresses DECREASED estrogen and lower back pain. The Estring lasts 3 months (recommended replacement time). It's been 3 1/2 months and guess what? Lower back pain is back. In two weeks I'm headed to the Dr. for an annual and overall blood work and to do the saliva tests for hormone levels. Jerked my Estring so I'd be at a baseline for the tests. I wonder what those results will be. After the appointment, I'm going to get a new Estring if for no other reason (and there are other reasons for this Estring!!) than to get rid of this awful back pain!!!!!!!!
