    Question Nuva Ring

I started using the Nuva ring about three months ago, and it's working pretty well, my problem is that since I've started using it, I've been extremely dry even when I'm turned on, and sex has become painful. This was never a problem before, and being young I would think that there shouldn't be a problem. I was wondering if it might be a side effect of the ring, or if maybe there's another problem.

    Nickolena,

Hi. I have been on the NuvaRing for two and a half years. I'm young as well, almost 22, and have experienced the same thing. Hormonal birth control sometimes causes dryness so this may be the cause for you. I know it has been for me because prior to using the NuvaRing I had never experienced it before. I think it's pretty normal though and it's not too big of an inconvenience.

My sisterinlaw used the ring for 2 years than had a severe stroke which almost killed her. She was young, healthy and now is an invalid. . There are safer forms of birth control...like the diaphram....birth control should not distroy your health....
