Be careful of how much vit A you take as it has a negative effect on your bones. I don't know the exact amount that is recomended.

vitamins can be a good way to support a defect, an overdose can become equally unhealthy so be careful

I've been taking a Women's Multi-Vitamin for about 2 years now. The only problem I've noticed with it is that you MUST have something in your stomach or it's coming back up.

Women's one a day is really good i think...i also take extra vitamin c just because i hate being sick (not that anyone really enjoys it lol) but vitamin c is a great immune booster (so is cranberry juice actually..and it also helps to prevent UTIs as an added bonus lol)

No regular marketed multivitamin will have much more than the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) for the vitamins, and those are WELL within healthy limits. You could probably take 2-10 times more than it put in a pill and be okay.
Learn which vitamins are fat-soluble and which are water-soluble. Water-soluble vitamins, like C, are flushed from your body every day, so if trying to boost your immune system you must remember to take it every day!
