I have been using proactive and I have oily skin but only on certain areas of my face such as my forehead, cheeks and chin. I was apply the three steps to my whole face and it dried up the side of my face by my jaws. I've been applying a lotion for extremely dry skin, but it seems to itch really bad. I don't apply proactive where my skin is dry but it I can't get my dry skin back to normal. HELP!!

I stopped using the proactive i think it was just too strong for me. I didnt have alot of acne but i realize when the weather is changing i do get them so i used a daily facewash by oil of olay. Also i have tried this and it does work, you know sometimes there's a big pimple that shows up and it hurts, well touching it with some lemon or lime juices dries it up. I did this a couple of times, mostly before i went to bed or if i was going to be home all day and it does infact dries the pimple up.

I have honestly never used Proactiv. I use another line of products. I have really sensitive skin. Once I tried an over the counter acne soap, I don't remember the name, I thought my face was going to fall off. I ended up having to go to the hospital my skin was burned that bad. Now I don't take chances with my skin. I found something that really helps me, without drying my face, or burning it off. I don't know if it will help but check out the following site. Request information on acne and skin care. They give free seminars. I know they helped me. Better Health Info I hope it helps.
