Ok...don't judge me..lol

A couple of months back my baby girl went over her fathers house (grrrrrr) and came back with ringworm in her head! During the course of treatment I would hold her on my lap and rock her back and forth I had to hold her arms from scratching it. Well one day low and behold I woke up with freaking ringworm on my face! WTH! Forum you should be able to tell by now (through my threads) that I am not the one to play with! I have NEVER had anything of that sort! So I tried the lotrimin blah blah wasn't working fast enough for me. So my crazy panamanian family decided to tell me to use vinegar on a cottonball and tape it to the spot and when I woke up it would be gone. When I woke up it was gone but a huge burn mark was in its place! AAAAHHHHH
So now I have this circle scar....i'm fair skin and it shows
I've tried Mederma, coco butter, aloe.....it hasn't even freakin lightened and i'm getting upset!

Any advice?

Scars caused by ringworm usually fade way in about a week. you can use your regular ringworm cream. If it doesn't then you have to contact a derma specialist.

its been months...its not the ring worm any more I burnt my face with the vinegar

I've had chemical burn before and that is what this is. You need to give it time, avoid cosmetics on the area if possible. Use a mild soap, unscented soap such as Neutraderm and a non alergenic lotion, perferably w/o paraben. I've posted several times about my experiences with chemical sensitivite to paraben, you are more likely to develop sensitivities after an experience such as this burn, the skin is more vulnerable.

Protect this area from sun exposure for the next 7 years. That's how long it really takes to fully heal, even if it looks normal. I was improperly instructed by the dermatologist after I got a chemical burn and did additional damage by getting full sun exposure. Hats and a good PABA free sunscreen should be your best friends.

I don't wear makeup and I normally use noxzema (is that how you spell it) I'm pretty basic with things and mostly use natural products...I do'nt want to wait 7yrs...lol I want it GONE

Sweetheart, I'm sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news but your family suggestion got you into a pickle. Home remedies that I can give you will work mildly but not in a timely manner. Any kind of OTC drug can make the scar less visible but will not solve the problem entirely. More than likely, you're best alternative is to consult a dermatoligist about laser scar treatment or a plastic surgeon. I'm really sorry that I couldn't help more, but there is not alot you can do on your own at this point, I'm sorry i couldnt help more.

In the meantime you can use vitamin E and vitamin K lotion on the affected area and it will minimize the discoloration after a good time of usage, but not completely.

I don't know if you have any allergies but Teetree Oil is good for scars. Some ppl have reactions to Tee Tree Oil so just test your rist if you don't know frist.
