dark elbows?

I've always had an issue with my elbows. The skin always seems really dark. I'm a pretty fair skinned person. I burn if I'm in the sun for more then 30 mins but my elbows almost look dirty all the time. they are rough and dark. My mom used to tell me I needed to scrub them better and when she saw that wasn't working we would put lotion on them none stop. that never helped. Now my boyfriend notices the same thing. What could this be and does anyone know how at least make them so they are not so rough alllll the time

Elbows and areas on fingers turn dark because we just apply shower gels or soap over them. Yot should bend your fingers and arm when bathing and clean the area.

Slice a lemon, dip in sugar and rub the darkened areas till the sugar dissolves. Keep for 30 mins. You can also apply lemon juice and keep for 30 mins and wash off. Lemon is a natural bleach. Pure coconut oil also helps.
