ok. so i am 23 yrs old.. and my face keeps breaking out around the chin area and up near both sides of my nose. i have tried many different products and nothing seems to work except dry the out of skin.
i have tried biore, dove, clean and clear. and also a tea tree product. with a mosturizer. and nothing seems to be working. it seems to be giving me more whiteheads than anything.. i dont know what to do anymore. and if i should just go to my family doctor and see what he can do. any info ladies??

I just hate breakouts!! But have you tried clearasil?? The extra strength kind in the small tubes.apply it to the area, leave on for awhile.it will dry up ur skin, but after u remove the clearasil apply some lotion with no scent.I've been doing it for a long time and I've had very little problems with breakouts.personally I put the treatment on before bed,and leave it on overnight.when I wake up,I wash it off and put some eucerin lotion on.it works amazing!! Hope this helped sweetie. =)

sorry to hear about your breakouts. acne has also been problem for the longest time, and i completely understand how you feel. i recently got a horrible breakout around the chin area and sides of my nose, too. they're horrible and painful and itchy! but i discovered a medicine that helped control my breakouts. i take doxycycline (100mg) once a day (should be taken 30 minutes before or after meal - avoid taking it with full stomach, the doctor said it can affect the absorption in your body). i'm just on my 2nd week of taking doxy and my face cleared up dramatically! of course the blemishes caused by the pimples are still there but they will disappear overtime. what's important is the red ugly bumps have disappeared and im really happy! my doctor advised me to take doxy for the next 3 months. i noticed that stubborn acne do not respond well to topical treatments (although you still have to find a facial wash that works for you. in my case, i use a tea tree bar for its antimicrobial component). doxycyline will definitely control the breakouts, but you would also need an acne cream or gel with benzoil peroxide to dry out the occassional zits. getting enough sleep is also very important so don't take that for granted :-). goodluck! and i hope doxycycline works for you, too!

I am pretty much the same, still getting breakouts- mostly around that time of the month. First thinh I did was switched my pill to Dianne, the one with antibiotics in it, you need a prescritption for it though. I also had a facial peel done (not as bad as it seems lol) Worked well on me, but you do need a follow up beauty regime that works for you as well. I use a three step product called Three Fix- its exclusive to this place i go, though i am sure you could find something similar. If your skin is like mine and gets dry easily, or is a little sensitive... i can recommend: a simple hot water rinse, lather face with a supermarket product called PHisohex (PH balanced and antibacterial), wash off with warm water and then a final rinse with cold water to close pores. I smear Savlon (another supermarket antibacterial cream) over my face after that and leave it on over night. I also use Clean and Clear oil free moisturiser.
But just remember: Oil free moisturiser Oil free makeup (check makeup and make sure its non comeogenic- which means wont cause acne) No peroxide based skin cleaning products (drys the out of your skin, can burn) If you have acne scars to try Bio oil or something like that And if you are seriously dry in some places, use Lanolin (from sheep wool- top stuff- and we have sheep i should know hahaha) Check labels, ask questions, try things etc find out what works for you ![]() Good luck!!!

if your stressed no matter what products you are using on your skin it's not gonna help. So if your stressed take a yoga class go on a picnic with friends and unwind. If your not I've heard cetaphil cleansers and lotions are for sensitive skin, so you may want to try those. If not burts bees puts out a very good line as well. Good luck.
