Definitely try to see a dermatologist. From the sounds of it, you may need more than topical creams. They will probably prescribe an oral medication. I personally am on Minocycline for it.

And remember to keep it clean and apply your acne creams properly. And even my downfall - no picking! It's hard because I just want to get them off, but it makes me break out even more. I'm learning that the hard way. :P
Good luck! I definitely understand how frusterating this can be.

for the face you can use proactiv. I'm not sure if you can use it on your body, but i used it on my face a while back and it cleared my acne up, it really did work for me !!!

and to prevent future breakouts, clean your face a lot (use a lot of facial cleansers) ect..

Just be very careful if you use Proactiv. I tried it, and all it did was dry my skin out VERY badly and didn't help with the acne at all.

Are you on birth control? If not, you could consider going on the pill, as one of the common side-effects is clearing up acne. I don't typically promote hormonal methods, but in your case it might not be a bad idea.

I use proactiv and it has done wonders for my skin. It does not work for everyone though.

Hi I used to have acne between the age of 13 - 19 I tried everything from tea tree oil to facial masks, saunas, chemical peels nearly everything! I then went to the dermatoligist and it all changed!!!

1, I would recommend using mineral make-up or a non oil based make-up. Also use oil free sun cream and moisturiser.
2, Over here in the UK we have PANOXYL facial washes, creams and gels, they all come in different %'s and are either water or alcohol based, I would ask your Dr if you could try these.
3, If your currently not on the contraceptive pill I would also ask your Dr for that too.

I hope you can calm your acne down soon, just remember it will take around 8 - 12 weeks before you can see any real difference in your skin, although after 4 weeks of using all of the methods above at once my acne soon disappeared.
