    hi flower girl,
that's my teenage daughter's problem her oily skin which results her for too much pimples and really annoyed her and made her problematic everyday. do you wash your face regularly? the solution her dermatologist had given her is washing her face correctly and regularly, morning and evening.

Wash your face with facial wash, tone and moisturize. Do it 2x a day, morning and evening before going to bed.

Hope this will help on your end.
    Cheers!

    Hey there,

I'm 16 and I have an extremely oily skin too. I wash my face three times a day, and the oil just comes back within 10 minutes of washing it. I use Proactive in the morning and night, and Clearasil in the afternoon.
I find that this is also causing me to get mean pimples. I even tried drinking more water, but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any other ideas?

You should definitely be washing your face 2x a day, morning and evening. Also use a toner and moisturizer.

I am assuming this is what you do: Your skin is oily so you use a product to get rid of the oil, then your skin becomes tight and dry so you use a product to moisturize, which often causes the oiliness to return. But there is a way to stop this cycle and achieve healthy, balanced skin. The key is choosing the right products to help your skin maintain the ideal amount of oil in the skin.

Look for products that are Alpha Beta Hydroxy products. These products really help with breakout, minimizing pores, and evening out skin tone.

Make sure you get the whole product line that consists of the cleanser, toner and moisturizer.

    I hope this helps.

The great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than other skin types.

Oily skin needs special cleansing with plenty of hot water and soap to prevent the pores from being clogged. Avoid harsh products that strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness. They can cause a reaction known as reactive seborrhoea, where the oil glands work overtime to compensate for the loss of natural oils.

Avoid skincare products that leave your skin feeling taut and dehydrated. They cause the upper layers of the skin to shrink. This restricts oil flow through the pores leading to blockages and breakouts.

To cleanse oily skin, use oil-based products as they dissolve sebum effectively. Opt for oil-free moisturizers to maintain a shine-free complexion.

Keep your skin very clean. Limit washing your face to two or three times a day. Too much washing will stimulate your skin to produce more oil.

Choose your cleanser with care. Avoid heavy cleansing creams. Avoid the use of harsh soaps or cleansers. Use a pure soap with no artificial additives. Try an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a lightly medicated soap, and use it in combination with a water rich in minerals, not tap water. Do not use cleansers or lotions that contain alcohol. After cleansing, apply a natural oil-free moisturizer to keep the skin supple.

Use hot water when washing your face. Hot water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm or cold water.

    *Cleanse With Oatmeal and Yogurt
Cleanse or scrub away dirt and oil that accumulate on your face during the day. You can make a gentle cleanser in your home using oatmeal and yogurt. Oatmeal contains soothing ingredients that leave your face smooth, while yogurt removes dirt and oil.
Mix 1/2 cup of ground oatmeal into enough plain yogurt to form a paste. Massage the paste into your skin, concentrating on each area of your face for at least 30 seconds to ensure proper cleansing. Rinse thoroughly with water.

    *Exfoliate With Baking Soda
Exofoliation is required to scrub away dead skin cells that dull your complexion and clog your pores. Baking soda is an inexpensive exfoliator that gently scrubs your skin. Add a few tablespoons of baking soda to your oatmeal and yogurt cleanser to make the scrub.
Apply to your face and massage in circular motions, concentrating on oily or rough areas, then rinse thoroughly with water. If your skin is oily, you should gently exfoliate four to five times a week, whereas more sensitive skin should be exfoliated less often.

    *Moisturize With Aloe Vera
Aloe is a natural moisturizer that will keep your skin hydrated and sooth irritation, leaving an even, glowing complexion. You can use aloe right from the plant to moisturize your face. Simply snap off the tip of an aloe leaf, and mix the gel from the leaf with a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil.
After applying the aloe and oil mix, massage your face lightly to distribute the moisturizer and stimulate circulation in your skin. Do not rinse off the moisturizer.
