    Red face Proactiv?

I generally have very clear and healthy skin. But during my periods,I tend to break out a little bit and it bothers me.Even though I clean my face twice daily(when I wake up,before bed),It doesn't really help during my periods.Ofcourse it could be much, much worse, but its just embarassing to even have one zit.I hate using cover up,but I usually do when I get one cause I don't want anyone to see it.(Lame I know) So today I was watching tv and ofcourse, every other commercial is about Proactiv.I was chatting with my ma,and she knows it drives me insane to get acne,so she mentioned buying it for me in a week or two.

What is your experience with Proactiv? Does it really work the way they say it does? If it doesn't work than i'de rather my mom not waist the money on it,but it looks like it works,I just want to be sure.

    Any responses appreciated,Gigi

I have been using it since my mid twenties and for me it is a must. I have very bad skin, like cameron diaz bad, and no one ever know bc I use proactiv... So from me it comes highly recommended.

I use a perscribed medicine called Benza clin (beyznol proxide gel) which does wonders for me however, i have issues with dryness also my face feels like paper Mache. I hate that. Has anyone ever used benzyol proxide and have a problem with dryness. If so any way to resolve it?

I used proactiv before and it wasn't for me. I found that I broke out even more after using it for a couple weeks. I geuss some people are different and react different towards different things. I found this one acne treatment that works great. You have all the great facial washes and what not but what sold me the herbal supplement that you along take with everything that works on your skin from the inside out. I tried it after reading about their return policy. Just make sure you get 3 months worth and if it doesn't work, you get all your money back. I didn't need to return it though. After weeks of use, I was much better. After about a month...month and a half, I was pretty cleared up which was great. The stuff is called clearpores, I found a coupon after reading a review at skincleansingsystem.com which was helpful. Proactiv to me now is just hype.

Whatever you find that works, good luck and remember it's all the little things you do that make your acne worse or better.

I also used Proactive for six months and worked just fine but after that it seemed like my skin got desensitized with the product and started again to have break outs. Well, yes perhaps it's not also for me. Too bad, my mother thought it's heaven sent for me and bought an extra 2 packages. I wasn't able to use them after that.
