I've found KERI to be a very good lotion because it has some kind of oils in it. As well as EUCERIN. Most lotions smell great but if they don't have oil in them, your skin may dry out again after a few hours. Also, you can mix vaseline in with your favorite lotion to add an oil base to it.

kira21's suggestion is fine but i suggest you to get a professional advice from a skin care specialist. You may refer to this *Removed outbound link* to learn on how to make a moisturizer at home.

    Default Great skincare products!!

Hey All, I have overly dry skin as well and I feel your pain!! I've been using Estee Lauder Skincare products and they really do work! The products aren't expensive and show results fast! When researching more about the various type of products they have I discovered Estee Lauder is hosting a contest that I just entered to win some Darphin products since they're great for skin on *Removed outbound link*. All I had to do was say how I would spend $50, and now I'm just waiting to hear back!!

well, i can suggest you to use the same skin care products... don't use varying products because they may be contradicting..

The only thing that i could recommend to you that will SURELY give you great result is EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)...apply it lavishly on your body specially those that are really dry then leave it on....you won't feel greasy because it'll be absorb by your body...In just 2 -3 weeks you'll see the GREAT change...

eating fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamins A and B can help treating dry skin.

Milk bath once a month is also effective.

Apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp.

exercising regularly can improve the blood circulation and it encourages blood flow providing nourishment to the skin

Alcohol and caffeine should be avoided.

Eating oily fish like salmon that contain omega-3 fatty acids will help hydrating and nourishing skin..

I use body butter from the Body Shop and always use a moisturising shower cream such as Simple. Also have you considered taking MSM which is supposed to be good for skin and hair (my hair got much thicker when I took it). Once you look gorgeous you can then enter all the competitions such as Simple Star to show everyone how great you look without resorting to the expensive lotions and potions used by rich celebs!

    Hi All
According to first we need to understand, why we are facing the dry skin problem? It has many reason like inadequate nutrition, environmental factors, advanced age etc. When we know the reason we will be able to control it better. I prefer to use lukewarm water for bath, have fruits and vegetable in diet and I apply moisturizer to make it wet. Hope it will help you.

    Hi,
    kalpana1966
Tips for dry skin and make it smooth
    # Mash a banana with milk and apply on face and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water to get a skin that will glow.
    # apply honey on your face and neck for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water. Your skin will glow and become soft and smooth.
    # Mix egg white with honey and apply on the face for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water.
    # Make a paste of one teaspoon of walnut powder, honey and lemon juice. Scrub your face with this paste and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water.
    # Rub a piece of papaya on your face and neck for 15 minutes.
    # Make a paste by mixing 2 tablespoon turmeric (haldi) powder in orange juice. Scrub it on your face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water.
    # A paste of the fresh fenugreek leaves, applied on the face prevents pimples, blackheads, dryness of the face and early appearance of wrinkles.
