    Default Dry itchy skin, help!

    hello ladies!

Recently, i found that my skin has been itching more than usual and i get these small pimple looking thing on my leg, hands and chest. I have dry skin but its way too dry now. My skin looks like dry patches in certain places. I have use creams and oils but nothing seems to be working. I just got back from a 1 week trip with my husband and all we ate were fast food, i was wondering could it be that?Cause i usually eat home cooked food most of the time.
I was wondering if there's such a thing called "skin cleansing"? that i can maybe try? any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

well when you said patches it made me think of eczema which is what i have...but if you've never had it before it might be something new you're using like a detergent or soap. not drinking enough water could make your skin dry too! Sometimes oils and lotions dont help because they have dyes and perfumes in them that can dry out ur skin...

I always use lotions for babies or all natural stuff - they seem to work the best. I've also come to enjoy aveeno bath/shower oil. you just splash it all over yourself while you're in the shower and rinse it off. its awesome!

oh and changes in weather can hurt ur skin too. cold weather always gets me...

    hope something helped

Arbonne has awesome skin care products that don't have mineral oil in them. Let me know if you want to hear more about it.

This happens to me all the time. My skin is so sensitive everything causes dry spots. My Dr. recommended peanut oil. You can find it at GNC or Walgreens. You just rub it all over after you get out of the shower.

    Hi Patricia,

Often times what we put on our skin is our worst enemy! Your dryness may be a form of contact dermatitis. Contact dermatitis can be prevented if you choose products without irritating ingredients. Here are the worst offenders when it comes to skin care ingredients:

Chemical preservatives (Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl and Butylparaben), Dye, Fragrance, Lanolin, Alcohol, Sodium Laurel/Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Laurel/Laureth Sulfate and Propylene Glycol.

    Try Hylunia skin care products.

a lotion that i have fallin in love with is called Cetaphil , its made for people who have very finiky, sensitive skin it is so nice i can actually use it on my face in small amounts. its fragrance free no lanolin and if you just get a tattoo you should know that lanolin will take the ink right out. they have a regular and extra sensitive lotion i found my at wal-mart but you can also get it at shopko's and Wal-Greens. hopefully if you try this it works for you like it has for me.
