    Default My Problem

    Hello.

I believe that I have some type of an issue, but I need help in determining what it is. I don’t have insurance right now, so going to a psychiatrist is out of the question. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in 2nd grade, was treated for the condition until I was about 17 (when I voluntarily quit taking my meds), and I am 22 years old now. For as long as I can remember, I have always been extremely fidgety, but to an extreme extent. I’m always biting my nails or picking at my toe nails, pulling hangnails, picking scabs, trying to pry dirt out of my pores and God forbid when I have a blemish on my face, I will turn it into a disgusting boil because I can’t leave it alone. I know what I’m doing is not healthy or attractive as I do it, but I don’t seem to have enough self-control to stop myself. And when I’m not in position to do something destructive to my face or appendages, I’m tapping my foot, shaking my leg, gnawing a pen or just random piece of plastic to shreds, touching my hair, or anything that can keep my mind occupied. I do not do drugs and I am not on any medications. I want to learn to just be still and leave my body be, but the urge to pick, scratch, and fidget is so overpowering that I just can’t seem to stop.

I want my face to be able to heal, but in order for that to happen, I have to leave it alone, but I have a lot of trouble finding a way to do this.

    Please help me.

First of all,you already know that the first solution that everybody will think (including yourself) is visiting a psychiatrist. However,I would suggest something else.*Removed outbound link*. A friend of mine is trying it,because he's dealing with some kind of depression
Anywho,I hope this can help you

    Good luck
