    Default Getting nice feet?

Embarrassing, but my feet are nasty. By that I mean rough and cracked. Even the tops of my toes have callouses! I've been putting lotion on them, but it doesn't seem to be helping.
Does anyone have tips for softer, nicer feet? Thanks!

You can exfoliate your feet with a foot scrub. Also, you can buy a foot lotion by Dr. Scholl's (it comes in a pink bottle) and wear cotton socks to bed. Sometimes my feet get rough, if I apply lotion right BEFORE bed, put on some cotton socks and do that for about a week, my feet are as good as new.

I have found that the pedi-egg( the one you from TV) works wonders when its combined with a pumice stone. I usually use the pedi-egg first and then when I'm in the shower put an exfoliant scrub cream on the pumice stone and rub on my heels and any other rough areas. My feet feel so soft afterward. Last step is to apply a heavy moisturizer on the feet to seal.

What kind of shoes are you wearing? Callouses on your toes? On the top? Sounds like poor fitting shoes or some kind torture shoe.

GO GET A PEDICURE! Then after one, two or even three of them, you will be able to maintain them yourself.

If you don't remove the dead skin somehow then all the moisture in the world will do nothing. I have a stiff bristle back scrubber in my shower and I scrub my feet each time I hop in. Also, I use a razor callus remover (but I don't recommend that unless you know what you're doing!). Best thing for people who can't use or don't feel comfortable using a razor callus remover is a good dual sided foot file with two different grits. I use that for maintenance between razor removal. I went from having "SciFi channel" feet to having smooth and pretty feet

I am a cosmetologist and have done many pedicures. One thing to try is using a sloughing lotion. Its a lotion that you put on and massage in to your feet then the extra dry skin will slowly fall off you can get it at Sally Beauty supply stores. Another is get a corn and callus shaver also sold at Sally Beauty supply or look in the foot care departments. Take this shaver it has a razor blade in it and slowly be careful go over the dry area's and shave off the dead skin. I have to do this once in a while when the skin starts to crack and be dry looking. Also use a good foot file to buff the rest to smooth out then use a good foot lotion.

Thanks for the useful tips, Jennifer14. I have dry skin and cracks on my feet too. Do you also recommend any lotion that can be used to maintain my feet, once I get a pedicure?

Oh god I had the worst feet ever before I moved in with my Fiance. This is really embarrassing for me but I never really cared much about my feet. I was a barefoot child and I swear my feet were like hobbit feet.

They sell kits that come with files and stones and good lotion. What I do is give my feet a good soak and go at them with a pumice stone and then after they dry off I take a file and smooth them out. It's a lot of work but it's so worth it in the end when you've got cute feet.

    EVERYONE can have cute feet!

Pedi-eggs are nice but they really are a waste of money as they don't last nearly as long as some of the other products you find down the foot care isles and the replacements are more expensive. Just most of all make sure you get a good lotion made specifically for feet. After putting lotion on my feet I always put socks on too.

Do take a look at your footwear as well, I find a lot of my own foot problems were caused by bad off the shelf shoes. If you can get orthotic insoles they will help witha lot of problems.
