Default Burning sensation on legs after shaving?

The other night I was shaving and after I had rinsed my legs off, I re-washed my legs and as I rinsing my body I felt a prickling sensation on my legs. Once I was out of the shower and had put on lotion I noticed that the feeling was back, but sharper this time. It was a mix of a needle poking me and a burning, itching sensation. It's been going on for a couple of weeks, but it's not on my underarms. If it was razor-burn it would be every where I shave, right?

Maybe you are just razor burning your legs. How often do you shave? If you shave to often it may irritate the skin, even with lotion. Also it could just be time to get a new or better razor. The only time my legs have hurt from shaving is when I used an old razor.

I shave almost every day. But this started happening when I switched out razors about two months ago. I may need to change it and see if helps any. But why would it irrate my legs and not under my arms?

Maybe your skin is now to dry on legs? Try to use some special cream, like after-shave.

i have found that this happens when i use my epilator but then yesterday i took a big leap of faith and shave under my arms with it!!!! and i can safely say it never heat in the slightest i was so amazed. Maybe trying a epilator, it keeps the hairs away so much longer
