Thread: shaving problems please help.

i shave my legs once a week and have done since i was 13 I'm now 22 and every time i shave my legs about a day later it becomes very itchy until the hair comes back can someone maybe reccomend a good cream to try i've tried everything and nothing seems to work i dont have this problem if i shave my underarms or my bikini line. thanks.

It's just a reaction to over drying. What are you using to shave with? You might be having a reaction to the shave cream (gillette is notorious for causing reactions due to all the fillers and carcinogenic junk they put in there). I would recommend Nutregena (sp?) body oil. I find that I get dry, itchy, red, and stingy after I shave. I usually put on a very neutral body oil immediately after I get out of the shower. Barely towel dry then slather some on and rub it in really well. I hope that helps.

Actually, the skin on your legs has few oil glands and has a tendency for dryness. so, after shaving, give the massage of oil or moisturizer to your legs. the trick to shaving is to wet your skin and let it soften from the heat and moisture and then do shave.According to me, the shaving cream-kiehl's close shavers moisturizers like nothing else I have found.
