Unhappy Kind of embarrasing problems with reoccuring boils

So when I was 13 I got my first boil on my butt. I didn't think much of it. A year later I recieved another boil right below my right armpit. After that I started noticing boils appearing on vagina, groins, and left armpit. They gradually got worse and worse. It started with maybe one every two to three months. Now they're about every week. The scars don't heal and the boil comes back in the same place. Something odd I have noticed is that with the boil under right armpit is in the exact identical spot as the one under my left and they both flare up at the same time. Same thing goes for the ones in the upper corners of my armpits and groins. I have done my research and it terrifies me to think of the possibility I could have Hidradenitis Suppurativa. I've tried to talk to my mother about this this and she just says it's nothing to worry about because the problem is my poor lack of hygiene and diet. This is really where the embarrasing part comes up. I only shower about once a week and I'm a little over 300 pounds, but I truely believe this is not the root of the bottom. We can't go to a doctor because we have no insurance or money. I really don't know what to do, but I really need advice concerning this.

I have had reoccurring boils myself, and trust me they are not high on my list of fun activities. Mine grew really large and painful. Turns out I have staph bacteria growing in my nose which is what caused the outbreaks no matter how many showers I took. Showers are important however, because the cause of boil outbreaks is staph bacteria. When staph bacteria infects a hair follicle, it causes a boil outbreak. One of the best defenses against this kind of outbreak is good hygiene and anti-bacterial soup. I had to take a anti-biotic ointment and apply it inside my nose for 2 weeks. You best defense is keeping the body clean, a great tip is try taking a anti-septic bath which will kill all the bacteria and prevent outbreaks. You can do this by pouring a little liquid antiseptic like "dettol" into your bath water.

I wouldn't worry about diet too much, this doesn't have too much impact on boil outbreaks. What does is immune function and keeping the body free of bacteria. You do have to go see a doctor hun, because you have some complications with your boil outbreaks. The arm pit boil outbreaks are a big concern, but the outbreak near or on the vagina demands doctor attention. The vagina is a wet area on the body, and if staph bacteria is present as noted by the boil outbreak and this harmful bacteria can travel inside and to other parts of the body INTERNALLY! If you have done some research online you will see anytime you hear vagina and boil outbreak you will hear doctor visit.

I understand you do not have medical insurance but that is ok, I worked at the front desk of the emergency room for 5 years while in college, most if not all of the people who come in do not have any medical insurance at all. The hospitals just write off these visits, and you do not have any monetary obligation if you want to be seen and treated after waiting in the emergency room. It is illegal to not treat a person, and money and insurance don't come into account in the emergency room. It can be a 5 hour wait, best time if you can manage it is try to go before 6am. The emergency rooms are almost always empty at that time. You need to see a doctor about the boil outbreaks on under your arms and most defiantly about the outbreaks near the vaginal area.

Boil outbreaks on the armpits can be caused when a sweat pour becomes infected with staph bacteria, complications arise because this area is very hard to keep bacteria free, and boils that occur under the skin may have to be surgically relieved by a doctor.

Normal boil outbreaks are not a serious matter unless they are reoccurring or growing abnormally large. You can take care of a boil outbreak in the comfort of your own home. If you get a boil outbreak:
-Apply a warm compress over the boil. (Heat reduces swelling, increases circulation, and helps bring nutrients and anti-bodies to combat the infection. And more importantly all boils have to eventually open and drain, heat speeds up this process and was highly recommended by my doctor.)
-Keep the area clean (A boil is simply a skin infection caused by bacteria, you want to keep the boil and your body as clean and bacteria free as possible.)
-Use anti-bacterial soap (This keeps bacteria to a minimum, and you will want to wash you hands after each time you treat, touch, or bandage a boil outbreak.
-Use anti-septic like NeoSporin to cover the boil and minimize scaring.
-If you can use an oral medication for boil treatment like boilx, which speeds up recovery time and reduces the chance of further outbreaks.

Seeing a doctor is a must when:
-You have boils under the armpits
    -Have reoccurring boils
-Or have boils anywhere near the vagina (This is most serious, because the bacteria from a boil outbreak here can spreading to internal parts of the body causing serious health issues)

I have had reoccurring boils, and have spent hours online researching and worrying about complications which luckily were minor. A great free information site I found is www.treatmentofboils.com go to the videos page and hear from doctors about what to do to treat a boil outbreak.

My advice to you is go to the emergency room about your outbreaks, don't worry about not having health coverage as most don't have it right now. Good luck to you hun, keep us posted!
