Question Old acne scars.

My skin is pretty smooth now. I had serious acne when I was around 16 and grew out of it quickly when I reached college. Now there's really nothing left except the occasional pimple...and red scarring from where all the acne was in my teens.

Is there anyway to sort of heal my skin? it's just red...no potmarks or anything like that. Little red spots. I hate it.

Hi Al the Pirate!

I'm new, but I did want to respond to your question.

Maybe you can go see a dermatologist and they can prescribe something to help remove the scarring.

i have some acne scars on my temples and am considering laser surgery to remove them because them because they're pretty bad. I would go to a dermatologist if I were you. Just google some in your area, usually dermatologists have websites with before and after pics of the procedures they've done. Good luck!

Try skin care products that contain glycolic acid, which speeds up the skin renewal process and helps fade acne scarring. Here's some information on glycolic acid: Glycolic Skin Care Resource Center

Also, Mederma Cream is good for fading scars: Mederma Scar Care

If none of this works, you may need a dermatologist.

Good luck!

You can try pevonia. I being using for a few years now and helped my acne scars seem less noticeable. You can look it up online pevonia products.

Hi girl friend! I have something like that too. I'm also planning to ask a dermatologist regarding the little red spots in my face. do you guys think fraxel skin laser treatment would work on our skin to get rid of those red marks?
