WOW!!! Winter there in Australia in August... WOW

Wintery conditions can make the skin really dry. If you're getting patches, you may want to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

If it's simply dry skin, maybe hydrocortizone will help. It's good for dry, itchy skin.

Maybe the doctor needs to give you some cream with a stronger dose of hydrocortizone in it, or use a different kind of cream. Aveeno is good for dry, itchiness also. There's the cleansing bar and the various creams and lotions. Aveeno also has a body wash that is very mild. See if it's ok with your doctor to cleanse the affected area(s) with something mild (like Aveeno) and then use the Aveeno lotion.
Perhaps the doctor will prescribe you something to wash the area(s) with--if necessary.

When is winter over in Australia? That's amazing... we're just coming up on the end of summer and the start of the fall season here. Different things are happening in different parts of the world... I'm lovin' it!
