    Hi Estecca.

You could try one of those medicated lip treatments like Blistex or Carmex. There are many brands on the market. Check your local drug store.

Try gargling with warm water and salt mix it up and gargle with that a few times for the day.

try to avoid picking on it too. You are better off leaving it to heal on its own. Gargling with salt will definitely help too.

Listen.....it's called a cold sore or fever blister and you do not have to feel sick to get one. If it is new or only a day or so old.....ICE!!!! I have been dealing with this for years. Apply direct ice with good pressure for ten minutes on off for an hour or so ...if you have the time. But you have to make the time or it will get way too yucky. The germs ferment in heat. That is why when you wake up they are always worse. It can't and won't grow if you do the ice on and off. Then while at work or at sleep apply a product such as Abreva (drug store) to help dry it out. These type of products can get pricey, (18. 00 or so) but can help quicken the ugly mess. For next ime, as soon as you feel the tingle of a cold sore.....ice ice ice!!!! It can help it from even turning into anything!!!
