Default Face exfoliating?

I'm tempted to try that Dove SkinVitalizer face exfoliation machine. It vibrates and suppose to remove dead skin cells or something. Has anyone tried it.....if so, does it really work? Or should I try the Nutrogena one?

I've never tried the Dove SkinVitalizer before. Have you ever tried chemical exfoliants, I feel they do a better job than manual/physical exfoliators at exfoliating evenly. If you are interested in chemical exfoliants, look for products containing alpha hydroxy acids/glycolic acid in concentrations of 8-10%. AHA's/glycolic acid exfoliate surface layers of skin, but if you want to exfoliate pores look for products with salicylic acid in 1-2% concentration. Sorry I didn't answer your question, but hope this helps you anyway.

Lily you are absolutly correct. Chemical peels are much more effective than machanical scrubs. You should be using a chemical peel if you are over 30 years old to get the best effects.
I've never heard of the Dove machine but it sounds like a regular microdermabrasion device. It can help exfoliate you skin and keep it softer. But this is much less effective than some other peels that you could be using.

Why is it that some people get great results with a chemical peel, while others hate them and get discoloration and other problems?? What is the secret? Does it just depend on the peel skin type? I just got my first peel and I am nervous. My face going through the nasty peeling stage right now so I have no idea what my results will look like. Any advice?? I hope this works.
