usually hydrogen peroxide & baking soda.. lemon juice.. look up natural teeth whiteners online. You'll come up with a lot of stuff. Usually people use strawberries too.. it tastes good and everything. But the issue with that is the sugar sits on your teeth and causes cavities which defeats the purpose in the first place..

Hi,

Does hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and lemon juice really help whitens the teeth? I was just wondering because I also want to have my teeth to be white.

well hydrogen peroxide is kinda a natural bleaching liquid. But when its mixed with baking soda and kinda formed into a thicker substance and you put it on your toothbrush ( or have a seperate toothbrush for it.. thats what i do) and try not to get it on your actual face( the hydrogen peroxide). but just brush normally..Then after about 2 minutes rinse out your whole mouth and Actually brush your teeth.. With a whitening toothpaste. Try crest vivid white or vivid white night. Remembrant is also a very good whitening toothpaste.. Remembrant also has whitening mouthwashes with hydrogen peroxide in them!! Good luck to u both

Default Crest is not Natural

No offense but I think the person who asked the question was trying to avoid chemical toothpastes such as Crest.

I use Arm and Hammer Advance White toothpaste. It helps a little bit because it has baking soda and peroxide but I also need to whiten my teeth. So perhaps I'll look into this "natural" tooth whitening.

As a kid my dad made me brush with baking soda and peroxide. We'd wet our brushes and dip them in a little cup full of baking soda and brush then we'd rinse and gargle with the peroxide and then water. I have very white teeth, especially considering how much coffee I drink. I'm not sure about the safety of it, it may not be a good idea to do it twice a day, maybe just in the morning is best then use a toothpaste with flouride in the evening.

Brushing with a baking soda paste, a mild abrasive will assist in removing superficial staining.

Gargling and swishing with a solution of 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water will help to whiten teeth over time. It will also assist in keeping your mouth healthier.

Lemon juice will whiten but because of the acidity causes tooth sensitivity and weaken the enamel for some people.
A better use for lemon juice is to drink as a warm drink, ½ lemon squeezed into a cup of hot water in the am is detoxifying to your liver! Sip the drink through a straw to prevent contact with your teeth.

I refrain from using ‘whitening’ toothpastes as they are very abrasive and damaging to teeth enamel over time. Especially if one is an “an aggressive tooth brusher” like I am. I use a soft toothbrush, sometimes a child’s toothbrush because of that.

Yes hydrogen peroxide does work.....
my friend from work said to take a lil cup of peroxide throw it in the microwave for about 20 seconds.... and put on your teeth...
i also like to put baking soda on my toothpaste... gives a scrubbing clean feeling
still nothing like the feeling you get when you go to the dentist to clean!

lol

I read somewhere that putting orange peel on your teeth will whiten them. I guess the silly kids who make orange smiley faces in the lunch room at school are pretty smart =] Anyway, haven't tried this yet personally, but I definitely need to. I hate the taste of teeth whiteners.
