Default In Desperate Need Of A Smile Makeover

I am a 42 year old woman who has hidden behind her dreadful mouth for far too long. I have the most awful mouth. I was given tetracycline as a child and my teeth are stained. In addition to that, my teeth are in very bad shape. I have to be careful with things that I eat because my teeth are very sensitive. They are also literally falling out of my head. My teeth were overfilled when I was a child and they are breaking off. While I was eating roast the other day, hunks fell out of two of my teeth.

Can you imagine going through life hiding your teeth? I am very self conscious. I do not smile in any pictures. I honestly am not sure that I know how to smile. Can you imagine never being able to show your teeth in a full smile because you are too self-conscious?

People think that I am mad a lot of the time. I’m not mad. I just don’t want to show my teeth. I work in the public and I know that people are wondering why my teeth look the way they do. It’s like the big pink elephant in the room. My teeth resemble someone who has been on meth. I am horrified to meet new people because I worry about how disgusted they must feel when they see my teeth.

I really have a great aspiration to advance in my career. However, I realize that my self-consciousness about my teeth is holding me back.

Insurance will not cover this because it is considered cosmetic. Any ideas or suggestions?

Talk to your dentist and hope that they have a package for you. You can have some payment arrangements as well. Tell them your concerns and they will be happy to help you. I have never seen a doctor's office not willing to do that. good luck.
