Default My bad teeth - what dentist should I see?

    I have 3 open cavities.

A very large one on last tooth of the back(before the wisdom tooth that isn't even fully grown yet) on the right side of the top teeth. I've had this cavity for about a year now. It keeps chipping. I accidentally chipped it again last week when I picked out some trapped food with a dental pick(this cavity always gets food in it).

A good sized one on the last tooth of the right side on my bottom teeth. I've had this cavity for about 3 years. It was once filled with a temporary filling, but it's gone.

A little tiny new one on a tooth on the bottom teeth. I've had this cavity for some months.

I also have a chipped front tooth from falling. It used to have a permanent filling last year but fell out while brushing my teeth. I've had this chip for several years.

I have 1 silver crown for a cavity I got as a child.
I have a permanent filling on a front tooth.

None of my teeth hurt me. None of them are loose. Some of them in the back have some dull light gray on them but most of my teeth look fine, not the brightest white as I'm a smoker, but nothing nasty looking.

I brush my teeth every day using Pronamel tooth paste.

    Now an issue.

The dentist I see now I still have insurance on. But he is a dentist who's fillings are . He also does not do anesthesia.
I've been through the horror of him drilling my teeth and picking with that god ed hook. It hurts soooooooo bad! It's like being electrocuted! The novicane does not last long.
Last year was the last time I saw him - and I no longer want to see him again! I cannot suffer the pain anymore just for a filling that will fall out in no time!

I live in Richmond VA, and I would like to know of a dentist that does anesthesia - better yet, being put fully asleep(like when getting surgery).

And if anyone knows what I can do to strengthen my enamel - please do tell as I'm not having any luck with the toothpaste.

    Thank you!

Sorry you are having so many problems. This is an international forum, we really can't recommend a local anything. Contact your insurance, they will have a list of dentists who take your plan and you can select another dentist.

    Sorry.
Any thing I can do before I see a dentist? Like something I can do to keep my teeth strong before so?

Really? you don't get Novacaine? That seems odd.... That is something that's a "routine" part of the procedure....

Well, I've never really thought that something like (I know that I can't say the name of the company) - but the Toll-Free dentist company is a bad idea... They're all licensed - that may be a good option for you.

Def, get it looked at, trust me, you don't want to have to deal with cracked teeth down the road. Oyez, you don't.

    Good luck.

Stop all processed sugar, stop smoking, and take a good multi-vitamin, and eat a healthy diet with lots of water. Calcium and Vitamin D help teeth. I also use only natural products, including toothpaste and mouthwash. "Tom's of Maine" is a good product. Good luck to you!!!
