They look good, and sound good. But do they work?
Anyone actually got any done?

As the son of a dentist/oral surgeon I can tell you that there is a lot more to them then what most people expect or realize.
We all want white teeth. We all want a "hollywood" smile. The problem is that most people arent' willing to make the sacrifices necessary.
One of the first question my father asks is "are you willing to give up all colored foods & liquids?" Soups, wine, tea, coffee, soda, chocolate milk, tomato sauce, paste etc., etc., etc.
Are you a smoker?
In most cases, each tooth is reshaped in order for the lumineer to fit on the front surface of your tooth. Once you've made that decision, there is no going back...it's permanent. Similar to having dentures....you're not having your teeth pulled but you are asking to have them permanently modified.
Braces to straighten your teeth, if they need it, and whitening gels, strips or paste to whiten your teeth are much less costly options are neither are permanent.
Lumineers average about $1000 per tooth. That's a national average.
