Default Goig to dentist soon for long delayed cleaning

I am in serious need of a cleaning and I am wondering what condition my teeth are going to be in. I am not in pain, but I have a feeling I have some fairly decent plaque and tarter build up. What should I expect besides a stern talking to by my dentist??

Hopefully I haven't done any permanent damage with my long absence from a good cleaning.

It depends on your past dental history. I am the worst, the absolute worst. I have been married for eight years and have been to the dentist TWICE. Before I was married I lived in my home state and for whatever reason, I never missed an appointment, but I also loved my dentist. He was gentle, caring and I never felt anything, even undergoing periodontal surgery. When I moved I was afraid I'd never find anyone like him.... so I just never went.

I had two small cavities that were taken care of and the hygenist said if I hadn't told her how long it had been, she would never have known. I do brush, floss and use mouthwash on a regular basis.

I don't think you'll get "yelled" at. I was afraid I was going to get yelled at, too, but I guess they're happier you're in the chair than skipping the appointment. It must be common in dental offices.

Now I feel guilty - it's been two years since the last visit. I'll go if you go, lol.

you might need some fillings depending on the case but unless its serious you should have any bad damage
