Smile Immediate dentures - anyone have any help

I am getting immediate dentures on tuesday 6/11. I will be having 7 teeth pulled from the top. Anyone have any experiences they can relate. When will I be able to eat, no even a steak ( I know that will take time) but even speggetti, I like yogurt, but don't want it as my main meals.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Have immediate dentures is uncomfortable and I feel for anyone who has to go through this.
It will be a bit of trial and error as you heal and the healing time varies from person to person.
Refraining from acidic foods (spaghetti sauce can irritate some people) and keeping the food soft will help you through the healing time.

    Some suggstions:
soups- broths or creamed versions, simply take your veggie soups and puree them. Add a little milk or cream or added richness if you like, or not.

There are lots of different pastas you can use for just visual variety and vegetables can be mashed. mashed peas, parsnips, carrots, squash, you name it.

Also a soft flaky white fish, can be eaten without too much discomfort. The treat is not to overcook it so it doesn’t get dry and rubbery.

    custards
    fruit compotes or purees

You don’t need to compromise flavor so herbs are a great way for enhancing the flavor of your soft foods.
    Chin up…its temporary.

Some people don’t like to wear their new dentures while their gums heal. However this can work against them. The gums will form to the denture better the more you wear them. Its like wearing shoes. This is another reason why so many people do not like the fit of their new dentures when they get them replaced. Persist through the discomfort. Your end result will be better fitting dentures.
