Question new member tonight

I can't do sit ups because of lower back trouble. Would like to flatten stomach. Is there some other exercise?

Hmmm....not sure, but you might try doing a search on google.

My good friend is a physical therapist and I'm sure she'd have some ideas for ab work for people with lower back troubles, I'll ask her next time I see her.

Can you use an exercise ball or do pilates, or does that hurt your lower back too much? I'm just thinking that those are les jarring, potentially, but maybe not...

thats a tough one but here is my suggestion. If you are overweight, increasing your aerobic exercise and watching your calories will help reduce your overall weight.

there is something called a stomach trimmer. it can be bought at walmart. it cost about $10 - $12. its a rubber strap that you place over your stomach to make that area sweat more than the rest of your body when you're excersizing. there is also a plastic work out suit that they sell. its basically pants and a long sleeved shirt made of plastic that you would put under your work out clothes. and let me tell you from having this you really do sweat a lot. i hope that this helps you

Heh heh. I bought that strap for myself. By the time my workout was done, the strap could almost slide of from the sweat. I didn't really like it though. Maybe I was wearing it wrong but it was uncomfortable for me. I chose a different exercise approach, which is not appropriate for your current situation. Sorry. I will try to think of something though
