Um, losing 10lbs in 2 months when you're already 120 at 5'3 is not healthy.
But if you're going for healthy, get on a calorie counter website to be sure you're getting all your nutrients and a proper ratio of carbs/fat/protein. You, especially, can't go under 1200 calories or your body will resist burning calories. You could lose weight under 1200 calories but you'll end up gaining it back really fast. |

I don't know that it's not healthy but it needs a balanced approach and it sounds like itsme is on the right path. BUT take a deep breath, your real goal should be lifetime healthly living and eating. That takes some education. Exersize needs to be balanced, not all cardio. Vary it, weights a couple times a week, plenty of walking or biking (make it part of your transportation) and some eudurance - which could include your bike or walking/running. If you over do, you'll slip later and lose what you've you've lost (or gained as it were). Make sure you are stretching too. I really like the Classical Stretch program, it tones and shapes too.
Be sure you are eating a good balanced diet that you enjoy. Experiment with cooking and different foods. Don't worry so much about an immediate deadline as estabilishing lifelong practices you can maintain. Rollercoasting your weight and activity is harder on your body than maintaining a slightly higher weight. |

Wildchild.....ya i know what u mean about the rollercoasting weight..thats why im taking a healthy approch with this...i eat healthy and always read the back of evrything before i eat anything....and i did weights yesturday and im sore beyond belief lol but i just love cardio i wish i could just do that instead of incorporating weights also....would i still lose weight if i were just to do cardio and watch my diet? and how many days a week should i go to the gym?

I read an article on this recently and it said that just straight cardio isn't as effective as it is if you mix it up. I know running you burn more calories if you pyramid. That is run to get your heart rate up and breathing hard and then move into a brisk walk (power walking is good - keep those arms moving) let your heart and breathing regulate and then run again.

Some of the weight loss properties of green tea are in the caffeine ... not all but some. There's also hot water that has some weight-loss-boosting elements when taken 30 minutes before a meal (as well as plain water).
So if you're looking into the oolong or wu-yi stuff ... try any herbal tea. You'll reap similar benefits, only a lot cheaper and safer. |
