Question Obiese 21

I am 21. I weigh 287 lbs. I am 5"5. I have a thyroid problem, high blood pressure, diabetic ( only on meds, not insulin ). I feel like I am always hungry. If I go like 4 hrs. without eating I feel hungry. I don't feel satisfied till I eat 2 of something. I have fibromyalgia ( prob. didn't spell that right ) and asthma so it's hard to exercise. I am not willing to have weight loss surgery. Is there any advice anyone can give me? P.S - I feel really fat and ugly, what can I do to make myself feel attractive? Thanks in Advance. P.S.S - I'm an emotional eater too, any tips to help me on that too would be appreciated.

Great name, freedomfighter.

I suffer firstly, from fybromyailga myself and I know of one other here that does.

It sucks, but I have learnt to live with it, but not just live with it, know my limitations and how to relieve it and/or keep it at a distance, that's very important.

Do you suffer myophasical pain as well? that being muscle weakness?

Food, comfort, we all turn to something, food, alchol, even good things, like the gym, a hobby, become obsessed with something that "gives us comfort".

What makes you want comfort, in-otherwords, what are you disliking that makes you go for food to feel happy?

Fat, Ugly? Beg your pardon? Your not 100% happy with your inner self, that's all, no one is ugly, .... and all get overweight at some point..

So, it dealing with the inner issues...

Hungry... Most people I would imagine, sleep 7, 8 hrs, so are awake for 16, some, actually 12, 13, 14.

So even at 12, that's 3 meals a day.

Those who want to feel full all the time and lose weight I believe follow a 6 meal a day.. Makes sense you want to forget that you are hungry so you make sure your not.

So cereal maybe for breakfast, a banana / apple, few nuts 2 hrs later, a can of tuna and loads of salad, lemon dressing with soy is a great no fat alternative dressing...., tub of small yoghurt and a piece of fruit, 2 hours later and then steamed veg, fish, chicken, or 200gms of meat in spray fat oil, in a tray as an example, 6 meals, so to speak always with water in between so that's great, like at least 6 glasses.

That may help you with not feeling so hungry.

It's a start and others will add.

Have a look at weight loss section, Lounge what did you eat today, and fybromyailga well that's a seperate issue but happy to share what I do to help me, what do you feel triggers it and how long does it last for, do you then suffer from an upset stomach...?

We hope we can answer a few of your quesitons.

Welcome to the site.

CW

PS: Ask yourself:-

What would you do if I gave you $500 dollars? On yourself, and only to spend on yourself, be it at a clothes shop, bag, shoes, hair dresser what?

Eat every 3 hours. It will help boost your metabolism and you wont be so hungry by the time your next meal comes around.

well figure out the emotions that trigger the eating. Then make healthier food choices and proper portions. Try walking for 10-15 mins each day instead of high intesity work out since you are in so much pain.

The walking will help your blood pressure too. Be kind to yourself and patient it didn't go on in a day and it won't come off in a day.

good luck
