Default I think I need a weight loss buddy.

I am having a very hard time staying on track with my diet. I hate healthy or regular food. It makes it so hard to stay on track. I also never feel full no matter how much or what I eat. (apparently this runs in my family though my brothers gf says he is a bottomless pit, but he is 6'5 im not) some help please.

Long time, no hear.

Sweet, you don't need to diet, we've seen your photos, you need to eat healthy that's for sure and obviously that's more your struggle huh.

Why not make things that are half healthy at least, and freeze them, take them out the freezer when you feel hungry and defrost.

You should only eat when you are hungry.

It's okay if you don't feel full as long as you don't feel hungry, if you do, then keep eating.

Eating slowly fills you up more as well, if you gobble all your food down, you still can feel hungry.

What types of food are you eating?

Hi Sally! Glad to see you again. We had a thread going that a sort of online food diary, I kind of fell off the wagon doing it but a food diary can be helpful to see how much you are really eating. You may not eat as much as you think you do. There are hormones and chemicals in the body that control the satiety sense. Some meds will essentially turn this off. Are you taking anything that may be doing this? A trip to the doctor for a physical would be a good place to start just to be sure everything is in balance. The doctor can also help you assess what would be an ideal or healthy weight for your body type. I recently had this evaluated with my trainer and learned that at my age, my ideal weight is about 10 pounds heavier than I thought I should work towards, he explained if I lost too much weight I would look wrinkley and older.

There are a lot of factors in food satisfaction; the appearance, the scent, texture, colors, and well as the taste. Taking some time to prepare attractive food and then eating slowly with pleasure, actually experiencing your food may help. Eating in front of the tv or (my vice) while reading a book, you don't really notice and enjoy what you are eating as much. Believe it or not exersize can help you feel full sooner - at least it does for me. Healthy food seems to fill me up faster; good whole grain bread, a apple, orange or banana, a cup of yogurt, a big romain and spinach salad, a lean grilled chicken breast or thigh. A meal like that will leave me really full but not weighted down. Eating several smaller meals might be a good strategy too.

well the thing is I don't often feel hungry either. I start eating once I get cranky or moody.

And as far as what I a, eating yeah chips, icecream, take out fast food, stuff like that... it's bad I know

I'm currently not on meds so no.

I really gotta work on what I am eating and how much of it. I kinda just eat to eat ya know. And I am bad for eating when I got a movie on or to be social.
My prob is also I don't like salads or apples or that kinda stuff... I like my junk
