Hi Perpeture!

Making the decision that you are ready to make some positive changes for your health is the first and biggest step. So congrats ! Now comes the sacrafice , but its worth it. Losing weight is much easier than deciding to do it in the first place so you are well on your way.

Start making changes in calories that you can cut out of your daily diet.

If you drink sugar sodas/ juice etc.. cut those out. Cutting out the liquid calories Helps ALOT.

Drink LOTS of water, it helps keep you full, it helps flush out fat. Make sure you stay on top of drinking it all day long.

Don't skip breakfast. It kick starts your metabolism for the day. Eat as soon as you get up, even if its just a little something, get your body started burning calories as quick as possible by fuel injecting it!

Don't go long periods of time without eating. Make sure to put a little something in your body every 4-6 hours this keeps your metabolism burning all day long.

Don't eat within a couple hours before you go to sleep. Give your body time to digest the food before your metabolism slows to a hault during sleep.

Snack on low calorie high volume foods and add them to your meals to help fill you up. Add celery and lettuce etc... things with little or no calories into your diet as much as you like.

Choose the lowest calorie options available, don't eat seconds, leave the candy, chips and empty calories alone for the most part.

Walk every day to start with, then slowly build up more exercise as you can tolerate.

Be as active as possible, make excuses to get up and moving , be it rolling on the floor playing with your kids , parking far from the store, getting up to change the channel etc.. just keep moving everything helps.

Create a food/exercise journal and log everything you eat and everything you do. Look at it each night and decide what you could have done more of/less of , don't beat yourself up about it and just keep adjusting what you do til you have an outcome you can be proud of.

Weigh yourself once a week , not more , not less, same time each week, log that in your food journal.

Good luck to you, there are so many diets and plans and really the truth is, everything works and everything fails -- to get fit and stay healthy you have to change how you do things, don't think of it as a diet - think of it as just a new way of living where your health comes first -- the look you want will certainly follow.
