Smile alli

Hi, I've used Alli, and I was very nervous at first, having heard/read all the horror stories. But honestly, the side effects were not bad at all. I lost about 4lbs in the first week, I think i went to the gym twice for about 30 mins each time. I didn't get the side effects everyday...actually I only really got them if I ha eaten lots of fatty foods.. and then it just felt like I needed to take a really bad . I would occasionally eat at McDonalds and still wouldn't get the SE's, but now, if I had eaten McDonalds, and cake and whatever else the same day then i would expect to have to go to the bathroom sometime that day worse than normal, but it wasn't leaking out everywhere or anything like that. If you know that you have eaten a lot of junk food and you feel like you have to fart, go to the bathroom first. If you have just had a regular not to high fat of a meal then you will be okay. The directions say not to exceed 15 fat grams per meal, and honestly that is a lot! Also, I took double the recommended dosage, so if you are just taking the recommeneded dosage you will have even less problems to worry about. I figured that Alli is based on Xenical and is half the dose of that, so i wouldn't be overdoing it by taking double, would be just like taking Xenical, I asked my doc and she agreed. I am about to start taking it again, I am so bad about remembering to take pills!

heya, thanks for this.. yeah, those were the side effects that i was most worried about - heard horror stories of excessively fatty 'deposits' etc.. how long did you take it for? did you continue to lose weight at a constant rate on it? if you don't mind me asking.. were there any negative effects of stopping taking it?

Kakie, please rely ONLY on your Doctor's advice.

Why?

The moment you post this thread up comes Alli... So the people that sell it for a living will reply, that's their job to search and reply to make money.

Goodness, I am only referring to experience, in general, not all, obviously people that have tried will try as well.

I am, however, advising the obvious....

And, I suspect you, when thinking it through will see that.

It's just not a question that really will give you the direction you really want on a Forum that has "google"...

The only reason this will work is because people don't understand calorie balance.

People, as in the collective population on average, are completely in the dark on diet and what it means to the body. They just eat, usually because stuff tastes good.

Take one of these people and tell them you've got a drug that blocks fat. Hey, awesome! Right? Fat in your food = fat on your body, amirite???

The effect this would have, if any, is two-fold: 1, you'd be getting less calories from food and 2, you'd (ideally) condition yourself to eat less.

No magic. It's simply a brutal enforcement of what must be done to drop poundage: eat less than you expend.

I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the fundamentals and practicing them before turning to something like this.
