It is the completion of my first week and when I stepped on the scale I was 180.1!!!! Yay, that means I lost 6lbs in 6 days. A lot of the issues I had on day one are no longer a problem. I started last tuesday weighing in at 186.5, I am so psyched.

First, your fat turns to muscle and so it won't show for some time if you weigh yourself, you will start to notice it though more in your clothes..

Secondly, it's great that your eating correctly, but you need to add iron into your diet, spinach, mushrooms, and small handful of nuts, 6 or 7, as well as other protein, such as fish and yoghurt, dairy products...

You will run out of energy and your body also needs nutrician not starving it....

Nothing wrong with any grilled meats, red should be 2 times a week maximum, 200grms the max and white meat no fat is good for you but still small portions.

So your body could also burn out and not cope without more into your diet.

Hang in there and see in 12 weeks, you will be shocked.

Default Diet Pill News

I'm new here and have been fighting my weight issue for quite a while. I had great success with Phen-Fen while it was legal . Most diet pills are not very effective and there is little scientific evidence to back up their claims. Some dieters are having some success with Hoodia, but the evidence is all individual testimonials.

Although the clinical study most cited for this product is absolutely junk science and useless, there are many people who are benefiting from it.

I figure it might be worth trying (at least once). I am doing research on diets and diet pills and publishing the results at *edited link*

I'll check this forum for additional ideas and keep you up to date on my progress.

Do you think it's more of a placebo effect?

I would regard all of them as placebos. These "legit" companies are looking to make a fast buck off of the needy (sorry but it is true). If they were 100% effective in all cases you would see real doctors prescribing them to those who were looking for an easier solution. The key to knowing that most, if not all, work on the basis of placebo effect is their nice little fine print saying "Results not typical. Based on diet plans in addition to routine exercise". That means they are sure as heck are not going to actually promise you real weight loss numbers, so they tell you to exercise and eat right as well so you do see results.

Losing water weight can happen, but keeping it off once you go off of those "magic weight loss pills" is not likely. The actual way your body loses weight is slow. If you are losing 5 lbs a week be worried cause that is not the natural way it should be. It is all about lifestyle changes...working out, actually eating right, and STICKING TO THAT PLAN (that is probably be the hardest thing to do).
