Extra stomach fat can put a huge strain on your back. That's why you need to hit the gym and work out your abdominal muscles so they can support your back.
Okay...
I have a lot of issue with my body and I feel sometimes no one can relate..
I was on the birth control pill for 2 years and it ruined me emotionally and physically.. i gained 20 pounds :S... i dont care that there is no empirical evidence that the pill makes you gain weight.. I know many girls gain a lot. The reason could be because i ate a lot or the pill slows your metabolism.. i dont know all i know is that i gained a lot. I was really bloated allll the time and my boobs were always soooooooo swollen.. I went off it and havent lost any weight but my boobies dont hurt anymore which rocks. Anyway i have noticed that although i dont feel that bloated anymore, my lower stomach sticks out soo much all the time regardless of what i eat. I know i should really be going to the gym and exercising and im going to do that after exams are over. But i feel like my problem is abnormal. I look pregnant if i just relax my stomach muscles.. My legs and arms and such are not thaaattt big but my stomach is just really huge.. when i stand side ways i see a relatively medium frame and a big gut and my spine seems kind of curved.. Im 5'4 and it just looks weird.. I always feel like im carrying so much weight in my stomach and it feels awkward to walk and stand.. not painful per se but just awkward because i feel my stomach stick out and my lower back kind of be curved. I dont know if this makes sense. I feel like im too short - like i was supposed to be taller and my growth was stunted somehow and that my back should be longer. I feel if i was taller i wouldnt have such a problem with my stomach weight like its not distributed properly.. As for the pain... its not really pain is more like a strain in my back or discomfort... I know i sound like im 9 months pregnant but am not lol.. can anyone else relate to me? maybe im just way over weight... i feel like i waddle when i walk and have no curves. feel awkward sitting in chairs with my feel flat on the ground which makes lectures hard... its just uncomfortable like my legs are too short.. am i just really fat?? im 5'4 and 155 pounds.... thanks for reading i know this sounds weird....

I just developed the same problem. It's a very depressing thing to have...you look like your pregnant but your not. It's not an excercise issue...I've worked out my whole life..played university basketball and I run and do ab workouts everyday..the weird bloat and almost lump looking thing on the stomach does not go away. Im always suffering with the back pain too. I went off birth control but I was never really on it for that long so it's weird how I gained an abnormal amount of weight too especially when my whole family is stick thin. It even gave me stretch marks that I cant get rid of no matter what! People look at me and think I got fat because im lazy yet I workout and eat healthy every single day. I can only imagine how much worse my stomach would look if I didn't. I understand what your going through.Right now Im looking into a hormornal imbalance. Have you found out what it is yet? Im dying to know...
I have the same problem, but dollars to donoughts (those darn doughnuts) its because I don't eat right or exercise (yet) and my gut stresses my back, just like the other lady said.
Screw You Cheese & Chocolate! >.<
For your height, the extra weight you're carrying is putting a strain on your back. Everyone carries their weight differently. Some in their hips and butts, some in their boobs, some in the tummys. Sounds like you are carrying yours in your lower abdomen. All this assuming you get regular checks with your OBGYN and have ruled out any sort of gynecological issue (cysts, tumors, etc).
Perhaps the pill did cause your weight gain. When I was on it, sometimes I'd gain, sometimes I'd lose. It reacts different to different people. However, if the pill was CAUSING the weight gain, then getting off the pill should relieve that. I would say that the increased eating and lack of exercise is your answer. You're not HUGE, I'm sure you don't waddle and look funny as you think you do. But what I will say is that your body is carrying extra weight that your body frame does not like. So it's time to COMMIT to working out daily.
What is your typical daily diet?
I would suggest you do a full body detox. Cleanse your body because you may have a blocked colon or other blockage thats stoppng you from standing up straight.
