I'm 23, 5'3'', and 156, so we're about the same!!
I want to lose about 20 pounds before my sister's wedding in June. Yesterday I tried on some bridesmaid dresses. I was so unhappy with the way I look. I have back fat, extremely embarrassed by it, and large arms.
I hear you need to walk a least 20 mintues before your body begins to burn off fat. So try a good 40- 50 minutes work out. Walk or do warm up for the first 20 min, then jog or start weight training for the next 20.
You should definitely eat more fruits and vegetables.
Try eating yogurt as an eveng snack, or try fitting yogurt in your diet some way. My sister started eating yogurt for breakfast and lost about 6 pounds in 2-3 weeks.
tonight i'm going to buy special k, fat free milk, and some yogurt to start on my diet.
