Hi, lele23. I am new on this website but I needed to join an on-line group where I could get inspiration from others on weight loss and nutrition. I am 21 and I have no kids but I am sure it looks like I've had three. I have lost 30 lbs but still have about 20 to lose. I was hoping to find motivation and support. Maybe we can help each other? My name is Christina and if you have ANY useful, helpful tips I would love to hear them. I could share the very few that I have, as well. Anyways--good luck and I hope we can motivate each other to keep fit!

It's just my opinion, but I think processed foods and high frutose corn syrup is what is giving everyone fat bellies. It seems like all young people have bellies now and when I was in my teens and twenties it was rare.

If you like to eat, just make sure you are eating healthy, fresh foods that aren't processed to death.

I work at a Doctor's office and the nutritionist there said anything that has a really long shelf life is not good to eat because of the preservatives in it that make it last a long time.

I read.. on BBC news maybe?.. that these days dead bodies take a lot longer to decay because of all the preservatives people eat throughout their lives. o_O

For the OP, supplement snacks with GREEN SMOOTHIES (and no they don't have to taste like vegetables if you don't want them to). You'll find yourself cutting back on overly heavy meals as well.

Just try to walk/jog on the treadmill everyday and maybe join a workout class that incorporates cardio. I'm starting to do Jazzercise which is so fun and really kicks my butt! Cardio workouts will get your heart pumping and that is the key to losing weight (aka belly fat!!).

    Good luck!

    Smile Hey LeLe23

Hey ladies, first of all, let me assure you nice ladies that I am not a woman, I am a guy who is interested in helping the best way that I can. Lele, the best thing for you to do is to set a goal for yourself. Don't set a high goal, but set a small goal for the short term. For example, if you want to lose 100 pounds in a year, set the goal for losing 2 pounds a week atleast. The best way anything can be achieved is if you take it one step at a time. If you were to walk from your house to the store which is a mile away, you're not just going to step out of the door and be at the store. You're going to take lots of walking steps before you reach the store. Same thing with weight loss, focus on the single "steps" that you have to take. And I believe that you will achieve your ideal weight and size. Thank you for the time, and have a great day.
