    I'd say my appetite is quite sporatic. I was at the doctors today and I've lost three pound since December which isn't good. I'm 5 foot 4" and seven stone (normally 7.4/5) Not sure what that is to you Americans . I think it's due to stress and how I've been feeling of late. Anyways I don't want to lose more weight as I look so gaunt and pale and horrible What types of things can I take to help gain weight or even just keep in constant.

    Eat regularly, all day. Healthy, balanced meals and snacks. Don't skip meals or go long periods without eating.
    Big, healthy breakfast > snack > lunch > snack > dinner > snack.
    Make sure your choices are healthy though and that you're getting enough lean protein.
    If your eating isn't balanced, you won't be getting the vitamins and nutrients that you need to build muscle and keep good weight on.

    If you find that you are not in the mood to eat often, make sure that when you that the food you eat is valuable to your body. If you are hungry only occasionally then just have a few potato chips or something.... your body will become mal nourished as junk foods are not high in any valuable nutrients.

    So be sure that when you do eat, you eat things that your body needs the most. Talk to your doctor about taking a multivitamin. Not eating enough , not getting enough nutrition can lead to hair loss on the mild end and heart problems and the severe end.

    Pick foods that are high in protein. When your body doesn't get enough of it, it will pull it from your muscles. Thing is, the body doesn't discriminate which muscles it pulls from, so organs may become damaged as the body starts consuming their muscle tissue for nutrition.

    If you like cheese, eat it. It has a lot of protein and enough calories to stabalize your weightloss. Cheese, fruits, green veggies, whole grains, etc.

    You can also pick up some healthy snack bars or shakes to give you some energy, calories and nutrients as well.

    Not eating enough is just as risky for your body as eating too much as I'm sure your doctors advised. Try not to stress out, try to avoid triggers that make you lose your appetite, and focus in on eating for living even if you aren't that hungry.
    Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

    Hi,
    Do not fallow the strict diet its really bad because its affects you health ,so go through crashed diet.In this you can eat all food but in limit so its not affect you health.

    Have you had your thyroid tested? I believe over active thyroid function can cause this. It is worth checking out..

    Arrow Eat in intervals....

    I feel you should....eat in intervals...and dont do..heavy work up 2 hours after eating...i m sure you will put up good weight..good luck with that..

    Vegetables (avoid avocados and olives), fruits, beans and whole-grains.

    Eat a healthy diet with water as much as you can drink in a day.
    Don't take tension as tension also spoils the shinning of your face.
