I know someone who has had a difficult time losing weight due to PCOS, Hysterectomy and Insulin resistance. She has been on Metifast Diet and just recently joined the gym. She is in her mid 40s. She has sometimes 2 meals at a time due to waking up later. She also just had elbow surgery so she is on this crazy schedule, unfortunately, that makes her wake up every 4 hours with energy and she can't go back to sleep. She has also had 2 knee surgeries and an elbow surgery so arthritis is an issue. She has arthritis and she has had 2 knee surgeries and an elbow surgery do to tears.
So if you were to have some suggestions...what would you suggest?
i suffer from pcos - from what i know of it the best way to lose weight is to eat a low GI (glycaemic index) diet. theres tons about it on the internet, basically eat little and often and this helps to keep insulin levels and blood sugar constant throughout. look it up on the internet or theres loads of books about Low GI diets. it makes a HUGE difference to your mood as well if these things are getting you down, as theres no craving or having low blood sugar like when you just go on a normal diet and try to eat less. good luck!!![]()
