Congratulations ! Keep up the good work. Its good that you and your boyfriend are doing this together. It ll be much easier that way![]()
Hello all,
So I am new to this forum, but I thought it could be helpful since I'm very social, but don't want to share THIS experience with everyone I know. In 2 years time after moving in with my boyfriend, I managed to gain 70 pounds! Luckily my body is such a shape that he has noticed I gained, but I don't think he has any idea HOW MUCH. So, we've both finally said enough is enough and are making lifestyle changes (he's gained as well). I'm about 3 weeks in and have lost 7 pounds! I know it's slow going, but it didn't go on overnight either, and I don't have a lot of time for exercise. Just super happy that things are turning around. Hoping to rediscover my non-fitting wardrobe in the near futuresummerish? Good luck to everyone else on this forum who too are trying to turn things around. And I am so glad I found a place that I feel safe about sharing my journey.

The important thing is to make healthy lifestyle changes so that this will be an enduring change for both of you. Good Job choosing to make changes!

My best friend and I are also on this wonderful weight loss journey, and I agree completely that joining a support forum is a really great way to stay motivated. Keep it going, and I hope everything keeps going well for you. Just always keep in mind that in order to keep it off, it has to be a lifestyle change and not a diet... I'm finally getting a handle on that concept. Make sure to keep all of us updated!
Its good to hear that you both have a mutual understanding.
just maintain it and goes on,U'll be fine soon.
I think skelington and a few others are looking for weightloss buddies serCh the diet thread well done and good luck
My name is Sam. I'm almost 21 yrs old, 5.5' and 280 lbs. I need to lose this weight. My body is starting to fail. But I'm a mother to a 7 month old, so getting to the gym is next to impossible. As far as eating right, I forget to eat more then half of the time, and when I remember to I have to settle for whatever I can pick up quick in the fridge.
I made a lot of bad choices as a kid, oldest of 5. I had serious food aggression because if you didn't eat the 'good' stuff mom brought home within an hour, it would be gone and you would get nothing. (my mom was a HORRIBLE shopper when it came to healthy stuff)
I can't seem to figure out how to pick out the 'right' foods when I'm so exhausted all the time and never learned how to make those choices. But I NEED to lose this weight.
I'm so scared that one day I won't be able to get out of bed. When I was pregnant I topped out at 320lbs and my body nearly failed. Help!!!!
First of all jvin, thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I am also on the way to follow your experience.
TubbyBun,
As you've probably heard... weight loss is 70% diet. Exercise is of course good, but in the end it's not whats going to make or break the scale. I made some suggestions in my updated post that may be able to help you in your journey. Keep up the fight! I know we can do it![]()
