I think i need to lose like 20 pounds.

if i follow a very strict diet of 1200 calories per day and exercise everyday(any great exercises?) could i get my body looking good? (no love handles, flat stomach maybe have toned arms)

Not in a month, no. But you could get a good start on it and definitely loose some weight and start back to getting in shape.

But it's worth doing for the sake of getting healthy. (as long as you're being healthy about your food and exercise choices)

I saw your pix and they are not gross. Personally, I like a little meat on a woman. Your goal should not be reaching arbitrary weight. You should focus on shape. Dieting is not the total answer. Obviously, not taking in too many calories is important. However, if you incorporate weight trainging in your regimen, it increaseas metabolism which will attain the goal desired.

I have to agree with the above post. You are FAR from gross. Quite the contrary in fact... very feminine physique. Remember, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

If you're not comfortable with your "skin" though, making strides to improve your health and therefore physique is understandable.

A lot can happen in a months time, but you'd have to be very strict. And that sort of strictness calls for a LOT of attention to the minor nuances because the less food you're eating, the greater the chances of under-nourishing your body become.

Not to mention the elephant in the room...

Invariably short term emphasis leads to temporary results at best. At worst, it leads to yo-yo dieting and more weight being gained than you started with.

    Have you thought of that?

As far as I can tell, you have 3 options:

    1) Stay how you are.

    2) Try to lose as much fat as possible in four week's time with the understanding that more than likely, after you're done with the trip, you're going to fall off the wagon and gain much of, if not more weight back.

    3) Adopt a positive, healthy approach now that can be maintained for the long-term. It might not get you to where you could in a month's time following option 2, but it'll stick. And in the grand scheme of things... that's more important.
