Well, it sounds like you're on the right track. I've done pilates to get rid of my belly - and while I can "feel" the burn - (I hate pilates, by the way... my legs are long, and it's annoying!!!) I still have that annoying layer of fat that I know will never go away.... but the healthy eating and the active lifestyle that you're doing is awesome - maybe it won't happen overnight, but your heart will thank you later on!

Sometimes we can't change our bodies as fast as we would like to, but at least you're appreciating it!

And WOO! Another MA girl in the house!! Best of luck, and keep us posted!

That's awesome! I've been walking everyday too. I try to walk like 3 miles a day - I like to go in the early morning, hopefully I'll get it up to a jog before long - I like the morning b/c I look goofy when I run, and I turn SOOO red! I remember a few years ago I was training for the marathon, and I was jogging away, it was in the height of the summer in the middle of the afternoon - I think that I was some shade of purple (I'm really pale and I get very red) and this elderly couple pulled next to me and asked me if I wanted them to take me to the hospital - they said I looked like I was going to collapse! I told them that I just get really red, but thanked them for their concern!

Walking is the best. Has anyone tried those shoes that several companies make different versions of that are supposed to help "burn fat"? It seems like a crock to me, but maybe I'm wrong. I think that it's the "I bought the shoes therefore I should use them" that makes people actually venture out and exercise more....
