Has anyone ever heard of this or done it? I am interested in trying it once i am done nursing. I know now that wieght loss isn't about diets or pills, but about an entire lifestyle change, and well, I want to start eating according to my blood type, for good!

    Any thoughts?

Blood type is only part of the story.

The thing with this diet is that it basically suggests that you don't take particular foods, because based on your blood type, there's a statistical chance that you might not tolerate them well.

For example, a significant number of people of a particular blood type don't tolerate grains very well. So if that's your blood type too, the suggestion is that you take out grains out of your diet.

The thing is that it's just based on probabilities.

You can also do an allergy/intolerance test, which should give you more conclusive results.

    HP,

I know people who have done this and they swear by it. They say they feel better, they have lost weight, etc.

I tried it, but there were too many things I didn't want to give up (like shellfish and tomatoes)

I think if it works for you, then it works for you, but like the previous poster said, a lot of it is based on probabilities. Good starting place maybe to see how you react to certain foods though. Several of the things were correct when I read the book.

It is really good to have blood type diet. No doubt that it is a part of diet but if you consume only blood diet you can decrease good amount of weight. Especially beet, carrot, spinach and other green veggies are very nutritious diet. It will both increase and purify the blood.
