Default I am at my healthy weight range. Now what?

About a year and a half ago I set out to live a healthier lifestyle. I was borderline obese. I was 185 lbs and my BMI was 32.4. When I found this out I decided to make a change.

Right now, my BMI is 23.6 after losing around 50 lbs and I want to keep it that way.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can maintain my current weight?

    Thank you in advance ^_^

I would try to just keep an eye on your weight. Eat healthy foods. Find out what your calorie intake should be "maintain" your current weight. If you do a search for "the daily plate" online, you can track what you are eating and also it will tell you based on your height and weight and lifestyle (activity level) what you need to do in order to maintain. I think Maintaining is WAY easier than losing as long as you don't start eating junk all the time

    Good luck and CONGRATS!!

When you are actively trying to lose weight they say only weigh yourself once a week that way you are not discouraged with minor fluctuations.

However when you are trying to MAINTAIN a weightloss, weight yourself every single morning or night. Write down a 'warning' weight... say 5 pounds more than you are right now... and if you see yourself hit that point you know its time to mind your diet and exercise as strictly as you were when you were actively trying to lose weight.

When you were overweight you likely ate more and moved less than you do right now. A lot of people once they reach their goal weight go back to bad habits but you mustn't do that. The same things you were doing when you were overweight will cause you to gain that weight you worked so hard to get off, right back on.

People that are overweight, don't have the same luxery as naturally thin people in that they can sometimes abandon healthy eating habits without havok being wrecked on their appearance (their insides though, may feel the ill effects). You will have to be mindful of your healthy choices for as long as you live if you want to stay fit.

I would recommend finding out from your doctor what calorie intake would be best for you in order to maintain your current weight, as in not lose and not gain. And keep an eye on trying to maintain that target daily.

Weight is SO much easier to re-gain than it is to lose. Wake up and take a moment to reflect on how you felt when you were at your undesired weight.. how you feel now, and make a commitment to yourself daily, weekly , monthly as frequently as you need to that you are going to stay on track.
