I am maybe 5 ft 7, and weigh 12 stone, i dont know what that is in pounds, i have a lovely mummy tummy, some excess shopping handles lol, and shoulders that are starting to make me look well, unproportioned.

I am quite active and really healthy, i am a mum of 4 kids, so going to the gym is kind of out, i play badminton for two hours once a week, and walk an hour everyday for i dont know how long.
I tried jogging and ended up in a n e with asthma attack, so docs said, slowly bit by bit. not to just throw myself in.

I dont want to get skinny quickly, its not for my bf, as he likes the luggage, lol but i want to fit into a pair of jeans, that i wore before baby no 4.
The implanon has not helped, and probably piled a stone and a half on with it. The constant hunger is now replaced with bottles of water, and i recently quit smoking.

I eat normal meals, well balanced, lots of fruit and allow one treat at the weekend, so where am i going wrong? i cannot eat pasta potatoes or bread makes my IBS a bit insufferable, and dislike the wholemeal pasta, lol come one its gross!
I love veggies too and fish.
The portions are healhty, i dont want to lose weight fast, i just want to shape up and go down to ten stone. My milestone.
Which is healthy for my height, still a bit over but for now a realistic target.
    Any ideas?

I'm Austrailan so remember covertions are hard

I'm 5ft 7 and a half (the half is important ), means I'm taller than you

I weight 10 stone I believe, or 65k. For that height, it's healthy to be upto 71k's but to me that's a bit too much so I try to stick to 65, (63) is where I used to be and would love to be and maybe could be again So your aim is perfect.

All that you are doing is fine, it takes time to lose weight and you could also add in muscle weight remember, so the scales don't always tell the story.

I found that breakfast is important for energy. I also have IBS, so I steer clear of lactose, but strangly, most of the time can eat eggs? Which I thought helped create the problem. It's believed that stress triggers IBS, go figger I think stress triggers everything... So dairy, in general, spicy foods and too much meat seems to trigger alot of people with this... Pasta I have to admit I don't eat alot of.

Back to the weight....I was 71 for a while..

I started eating wholemeal bread (that's not gross), haha. 1 egg, or an egg white omlete for breakfast...

Tuna and salad for lunch, or a veg soup.

Fish, or lean meat no more than 200grms, or chicken breast small and loads of veggies/salad and I'd eat those first. No cream sauces, only tomato based, or beans with a little garlic, or steamed bok choy/asian greens with a teaspoon of soy sauce, or salad dressing, lemon and soy sauce.

I lost those extras in 3 months from changing "the sauces" and made pretty much all my veggies green, once a week I'd have potatoes as mash or roasted ...

Also, I don't do sit ups but if I did, that would definately help when you start putting a little bit back on the side, there that stomach is the worse huh

    Great advice CW! As always!

You guys are making me feel a little fat, I'm 5'8 (ha HAAA, taller than both y'all! ) and weigh about 70k... But I'm quite happy with how I look, I could probably tone up on the "inside," but outwardly I'm alright. Is that bad??

Samantha, the implanon might be hindering your progress as you've suggested. Have you considered a different form of birth control?

What are your walks like? An hour a day is good, but you'll really need to push yourself. You should be walking at a pace where you are sweating and it's hard to hold a conversation.
I know you had the asthma attack, but if you could add 30 sec-1 min of jogging into your walks 4 or 5 times each day, that would help.
If you're eating right and exercising then your body just needs to burn more calories. Either cut calories, or add more activity. Do you keep track of what you are eating. Keeping a food diary and tracking your calories is pretty essential to weight loss. There are loads of online programs that make it super fast and easy. nutritiondata or calorieking are both really good.

And like Mes said, maybe a different birth control is in order.

thanks for the tips guys, i will try jogging in the park but i will keep it to what i can do, as my chest isnt fully right yet, the walk is a stride not very fast., but anymore and the wobbles may cause problems lol jk. The soups and sauces with the veggies sond nice, i love green veg, and i love wholemeal breads, especially wheaten loaf, tried spelt bread. horrid stuff, ill stick to wholegrains and so on. I drink lots of water, and i also push a buggy when i walk, which is supposed to be great in a sense for your tummy, yet to find out about that. Thanks again guys. xx

I jsut want those jeans on! lol, everything is getting a wee bit tight, and i realised for my body to look after me in later years, i better look afer it for that to happen.
