Have you heard anything about this whey gourmet protein powder before and after contest? I was told the prize is $50 thousand!!! I can't find any info online. I went to their site and signed up and they sent me a ton of free samples but said to check back regarding the contest. The product tasted better than any of the other's I have tryed....awesome taste actually. So if I am going to try and loose weight and get in shape I would love to make a bunch of money in the meantime!! lol Please post if you know anything. oh yeah and you get the freebies at(edit outbound link) and they came fast! Thanx

I have a huge problem with emotional eating. I do so well at eating healthy until something upsets me. Then its an all out binge fest I dont know what to do. Any advice would be great!

Do you keep a food diary? It helps A TON to have to write it down. When I keep one, I'm hyper aware of what I'm eating and a lot of times I'll wonder into the kitchen without even thinking and then it hits me that I'll have to track it and it's not worth it so I go do something else.

You need to find something healthy that comforts you. Next time you're upset and feel like eating, force yourself to go for a brisk walk instead. Grab your iPod and blare the music and get some exercise, even if it's just for 15 minutes. It's going to take a lot of will power to break the emotional eating habit, but you can do it.

Im exactly the same. I found that what helped me was eliminating all junk food from my house. Emotional eating just wasnt the same when all i had were endless supplies of fruits and veggies. sometimes when it would get bad enough where I would drive to the store to get my junkfood happy fix, I would throw out any leftovers the next day and go right back to eating healthy. hope this might help *)

The key success to losing weight:
    1) Stay focus, be consistent and persist - follow your diet and exercise plan with the vision of who you ultimately want be
    2) Find someone who can be your whip to move you along when you slacken.
    3) Have a low calorie diet of high in fiber ( fruits, vegetable and whole grain ), lean protein, plenty of water, zero sugar from soda, sweets and deserts.
    4) Do anaerobic exercise such as weight training or circuit training as it burns 9 time more fat and the burning continues even when the exercise stops.

First of all kudos to you for getting started! How was your first week?

Since I don't know what diet you are on and the only thing I've heard is that "diets" don't work, but changing your lifestyle does....only advice I can give is to not totally eliminate something from your "diet", like carbs or sweets or whatever it may be. Take steps to reducing the bad stuff, otherwise I'm afraid it won't stick. People have a hard time going cold turkey. And take steps into exercise. If you try to workout 5 days/wk you might burn out too quick. Start with 10min and build up if you have to. Just eating healthy and it can be mostly healthy and getting some exercise several days/wk will do the trick! Just my opinion of course. Good Luck!
