exercise and eating right are key to working out...

what are your eating habits now? What typical foods do you eat in a day, and how much?
Do you exercise at all? If so, what kind and how much?

Knowing this will really help the people here to give you advice on how to get healthier.. it is tough, I'm working through it myself, but it is do-able if you set your mind to it!

You should be exercising pretty much every day, with one day of rest. Mixture of cardio and strength training.

And load up the fridge with healthy foods - raw veggies and fruits, whole grains, lean proteins (Lowfat dairy, fish, chicken, etc...) and get rid of the all the processed junk food. There are plenty of healthier options than chips, cookies, and sodas to nosh on when you're hungry!

pasta, juice and bread aren't necessarily healthy and will most times cause weight gain around your stomach.
Fresh fruits and veggies and fish, chicken, etc. No fried foods, sugar, etc.

Exercise is easy, put on some tennis shoes and go for a jog everyday. If fitting into your clothes and being overweight isn't motivation enough then you need to dig deep to find something that will help you change your diet and activity habits. Is there a sport you like playing that's active?

i dont really like playing sports no, but i have been doing stomach crunches and jogging on the spot for 30 mins everyday, im not sure whether that counts as 'enough' excercise though. Plus, i ALWAYS seem to be hungry and never feel full.

Drink a full pint of water before and after every meal. Make sure you're getting enough fiber as well. Jogging in place is good for a warm up, but take it outside and jog around the neighborhood for a full 30 minutes. Don't do just crunches, search online for a variety of core exercises and do those as well. Add in some pushups and jumping jacks too.

do you have a bike, or access to one you could use? It is great exercise - take the bike (or even a brisk walk) to run errands instead of the car.

As sourpuss said, go out and jog throughout the neighborhood. Buy a workout dvd for core circuit or pilates to help with strength training. Mix it up with pushups, sit ups, crunches, planks, squats, lunges, yadda yadda yadda...

As for the food... most purchased juice is just sugar and water, so don't drink juice unless you can make it yourself (fresh squeezed). Most breads and pastas are processed white flour and most people consume WAY too much carbs to begin with.. one slice of bread is a serving, a 1/2 cup of pasta is a serving.. more than that and you're adding tons of carbs that your body doesn't need if you're regularly eating fruits and veggies.

Be conscious of the nutritional labels. The first 5 ingredients make up the bulf of the product.. so if you see sugar, salt, fat, etc - its not good, no matter how "healthy" the advertising on the box may make it look.

I understand the feeling hungry thing, that was part of my problem too, always feeling like I needed to eat.. that too can be fixed with a change of the mind and some eating habit tricks. Often we confuse being full with feeling "stuffed" - that's not good. Eat until you're not hungry anymore, and eat slowly so your brain can catch up with your stomach and recognize you're satisfied. If you're hungry, first, drink water - often we can confuse hunger with thirst - so drink up! lots! If the water doesn't cut it, grab some veggies to snack on - no one ever got fat from eating too many carrot sticks.

    HAVE NO FEAR!!!!!
I am also 18 and 12 months ago I was in the exact same position you are in now.
I just absolutely couldn't take it any more.

There is so much that I could say in this little post but I'll try to keep it to a minimum.

    Motivation:
I don't know your family position or if you still live with your family but whoever you live with, see if they are willing to try losing weight with you. You hear this all the time. But luckily I just live with my Mom and shse willingly tried with me. I couldn't believe how much this helped me get started.
Want to get into that hot dress or bathing suit by a certain date? REMIND YOURSELF. Everyday remind youself of where you want to be and how you're going to get there. This is an amazing motivational skill. For me I put a picture of Fergie and her rock hard abs somewhere where I could. Although I'm not quite "fergilious" yet. I'm getting there.
And I KNOW you have that sescret celebrity hottie that you've always dreamed of being with. Well I have like 6. I put these manly men all over my house as a reminder. Cam Gigendet is in my pantry with a fruit sign. Chase Crawford is in the dessert Cabinet. Brad Pitt is in my bathroom. What these pictures will do is put even more guilt on you everytime you open the pantry to grab a poptart. There's Cam staring at me saying "GRAB A BANANA"

It's funny yes. But it actually works, trust me.
    Places I recommend putting hotties.
Bathroom- Once you take a shower you are much less likely to do an end of the day workout.
Pantry- Why don't you grab some fruit?
Any type of place where there is sunhealthy food.
Treadmill- can't seem to finish the workout? Just have the hotties there to remind you.

So there are just a FEW of the many motivational tools that I have developed over the past year.

    FOOD TRICKS!

Here are a few tricks that I used that helped me food wise.

    1. Find a food that is healthy that you LOVE, when you are feeling a craving, eat it instead. (Mine is clementines, I eat a bag a week, no joke)
    2. If you are a juice lover drink Diet v8 splash, there is a mere 80 calories in the entire jug! Craziness! Compare that to the leading 100 calories per 8oz. for most juices.
    3. WATER WATER WATER! always have a water bottle. non-stop drinking. It fills you up like you wouldn't believe. If you really don't like water get low calorie (I recommend crystal light) bottle drink mix (my fav. is fruit punch)
    4. Skinny Cow indv. ice creams-they are little, delicious, and only around 150 calories. Get these only if you KNOW you won't be tempted to eat ALL of them. I didn't start getting these until I was good and disciplined. About 3 months into my healthy lifestyle change.

Again I could keep going but I mustn't fill this entire page.

    Finally,
    KEEP YOUR HEAD HELD HIGH!
    KEEP GOING NO MATTER WHAT!
IT GET'S EASIER I PROMISE!!!! (I won't cherry coat this, the first month or so of healthy eating is HARD. but it only gets easier. Eventually you will find youself less hungry and have less of an urge to eat into that delicious no-bake cookie)
